Canon’s camera shelf looks very different heading into Cyber Monday 2026.
There is a brand-new lightweight full-frame EOS R8 Mark II arriving just before the holiday season. The EOS R6 Mark III has replaced the previous generation as Canon’s central enthusiast/pro hybrid. Video creators now have the dedicated EOS R6 V. And several familiar EOS bodies are entering exactly the phase when previous-generation pricing can become more interesting than the newest camera’s first holiday promotion.
That creates a better way to shop Canon this Cyber Monday:
Decide what kind of photographer or creator you are first. Then compare the new camera against the outgoing model directly below it.
CRAOB will concentrate on Amazon U.S. listings and verified U.S. pricing rather than filling this page with questionable marketplace bundles.
You want to move into full frame without carrying a large body
Canon EOS R8 Mark II
This is the Canon camera to watch most closely in late 2026.
Canon announced the EOS R8 Mark II on September 15, with U.S. availability scheduled for late October—putting its first major holiday shopping season almost immediately after launch.
The camera uses a 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor and, importantly, introduces 5-axis in-body image stabilization to Canon’s compact R8 family.
Canon describes it as its lightest EOS camera with IBIS.
Other upgrades include improved subject tracking, Register People Priority, a multi-controller joystick and redesigned ergonomics while maintaining the compact full-frame concept of the original R8.
Launch pricing
Body: $1,899
RF24-50mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM kit: $2,099
Because availability begins only shortly before Cyber Monday, there is no responsible historical-low figure yet.
If retailers advertise $100 or $200 off, CRAOB will compare that discount against the actual $1,899 launch price, not against an inflated marketplace reference price.

The comparison you should make before buying
Don’t look at the R8 Mark II alone.
The outgoing EOS R8 has already fallen to around $1,299 during Prime Day 2026, and Canon listed the body at $1,349 during its September promotion.
If remaining R8 inventory receives another clearance push, the gap between generations could become several hundred dollars.
The R8 Mark II’s IBIS and newer controls are substantial improvements.
But a sufficiently discounted original R8 could still be the smarter route for someone whose lenses already provide stabilization or whose priority is simply getting into Canon full frame cheaply.
You want one Canon body for almost everything
Canon EOS R6 Mark III
For photographers who shoot a mix of weddings, portraits, wildlife, events, sports and video, the EOS R6 Mark III is one of the most important Canon bodies to monitor.
Canon launched it in late 2025, so Cyber Monday 2026 is much more relevant than its first holiday season.
The R6 Mark III moves to a 32.5MP full-frame sensor, substantially increasing resolution over the 24.2MP R6 Mark II. It can shoot up to 40 fps electronically and supports pre-continuous shooting.
For video, Canon added internal 7K RAW, 7K open-gate capture and high-frame-rate 4K options.
Current 2026 reference price: $2,799
Canon, Best Buy and other major U.S. retailers have been selling the body for $2,799 in 2026. Amazon pricing has also been listed at the same level.
Unlike some older Canon cameras, we do not yet have evidence of a deep, repeatable U.S. discount that should be treated as its established floor.
That makes this a model where Cyber Monday could actually establish an important new price benchmark.

Watch the kit pricing too
Camera bodies do not always receive the best effective discount.
If you need a standard zoom anyway, compare:
body only
against
R6 Mark III + RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM
and any authorized kit involving the RF24-105mm F4 L.
A $200 discount on a kit containing a lens you actually need can be more useful than a $150 body-only discount.
Avoid third-party bundles padded with inexpensive filters, tripods and memory cards simply to create an enormous “bundle value.”
You are buying primarily for video
Canon EOS R6 V
The EOS R6 V is one of the most important additions to Canon’s 2026 lineup—and one that should not be confused with the R6 Mark III.
Canon introduced it in May and began selling it during the summer.
It uses a 32.5MP full-frame sensor, but the camera’s controls and construction have been redesigned around video production.
The major features include:
- internal 7K RAW up to 60p
- 7K 30p open-gate recording
- uncropped 4K 120p
- Canon Log 2
- in-body stabilization
- active cooling
- vertical-video interface
- additional vertical tripod mount
- tally lamp
- power-zoom control
- full-size HDMI
Canon launched the body at $2,499.
As of September 2026, that $2,499 price is still broadly reflected across major U.S. retailers and Amazon.
So Cyber Monday shoppers should not be told that $2,499 itself is a bargain.
That’s effectively our starting reference.

R6 V or R6 Mark III?
This should be a workflow decision.
Choose the R6 Mark III when photography and video are both central.
Look harder at the R6 V when your work centers on:
- filmmaking
- long recording sessions
- social video
- vertical content
- podcasts
- product video
- gimbal work
- open-gate workflows
A Cyber Monday sale could narrow the $300 normal-price gap between them, so compare both listings before checkout.
You need 45MP resolution and serious hybrid capability
Canon EOS R5 Mark II
The EOS R5 Mark II remains one of Canon’s principal high-resolution hybrid cameras.
Its 45MP full-frame stacked sensor, up-to-30-fps electronic shooting, sophisticated autofocus, IBIS and high-resolution video capabilities place it well above mainstream entry-level bodies.
But in late 2026, its MSRP tells only part of the story.
Canon’s regular U.S. listing is $4,399, while its September promotion reduced the body to $3,999.
And Prime Day 2026 already went a little further.
Price benchmark: $3,899
The EOS R5 Mark II reached $3,899 during Prime Day 2026, $500 below its $4,399 reference price.
That’s the figure Cyber Monday buyers should remember.
A $3,999 holiday listing may still be a respectable sale.
It would not be the lowest meaningful 2026 price we’ve already seen.
For the Cyber Monday offer to stand out, it should ideally challenge or improve upon the $3,899 territory—or compensate with a genuinely useful authorized bundle.

You are a creator first and photographer second
Canon EOS R50 V
Not every Canon deal needs to cost four figures.
The EOS R50 V remains one of Canon’s most relevant APS-C cameras for YouTube, livestreaming, short-form content and small production setups.
Canon designed it specifically around video creation, with a 24.2MP APS-C sensor and creator-oriented controls.
The body originally launched at $649.99, while its RF-S14-30mm power-zoom kit launched at $849.99.
Canon’s own September 2026 pricing is already substantially lower:
EOS R50 V body: $569.99
R50 V + RF-S14-30mm kit: $799.99
The body is currently shown with $150 instant savings versus Canon’s $719.99 current regular reference price.
That matters because a Cyber Monday promotion should be judged against real September pricing, not merely the original launch figure.

Don’t buy the body automatically
The R50 V was designed around video, and the RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ kit lens is particularly relevant because of its power-zoom functionality.
If the difference between body and kit shrinks significantly during Cyber Monday, the kit can offer much more practical value than saving a small amount on the body.
You want a beginner-friendly Canon for both photos and video
Canon EOS R50
The standard EOS R50 serves a different buyer than the R50 V.
It retains a conventional camera layout and electronic viewfinder, making it much better suited to someone learning photography while also shooting video.
Canon’s current U.S. store lists R50 configurations around $679.99, versus a $779.99 regular reference price.
The camera uses a 24.2MP APS-C sensor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, oversampled 4K video and fast electronic shooting.
It remains a logical first interchangeable-lens Canon for:
- family photography
- travel
- pets
- school activities
- beginner portraits
- casual video
- learning manual photography

Where Cyber Monday could get really interesting: outgoing Canon bodies
This is the part of the Canon sale that deserves as much attention as the newest cameras.
Several older EOS bodies have either been replaced or are being cleared from Canon’s direct catalog.
That does not make them bad cameras.
It means we need to demand the right price.
EOS R8: the obvious 2026 full-frame clearance target
The arrival of the EOS R8 Mark II changes the original R8 immediately.
The previous-generation camera has already sold around $1,299 during Prime Day 2026, while Canon offered it for $1,349 in September against a $1,649 regular reference price.
That gives us a very clear Cyber Monday test.
A leftover R8 at $1,499 isn’t compelling just because the new generation costs $1,899.
A return near $1,299 is much more relevant.
A materially lower authorized price could make it one of Canon’s most interesting full-frame clearance buys.

EOS R6 Mark II: don’t ignore the previous hybrid generation
The EOS R6 Mark II has been replaced by the R6 Mark III, but it remains a highly capable 24.2MP full-frame hybrid camera.
During Prime Day 2026 it dropped to just under $2,000, with major retailers listing approximately $300 off.
That creates an interesting Cyber Monday comparison:
New R6 Mark III: $2,799 baseline
versus
clearance R6 Mark II: around $1,999 already observed
That’s roughly an $800 difference before any additional holiday pricing.
Photographers who do not need the Mark III’s 32.5MP resolution and expanded 7K capabilities should not dismiss the older camera automatically.

Wildlife and sports bargain watch: EOS R7
The APS-C EOS R7 remains worth watching only as a properly discounted previous-generation/remaining-inventory target.
Its 32.5MP APS-C sensor, in-body stabilization and high-speed shooting still make it useful for wildlife and sports, where the smaller sensor provides a tighter field of view with telephoto lenses.
Prime Day 2026 pricing reached roughly $1,449 body-only.
Canon’s September direct pricing was $1,549 versus a $1,649 reference price, but Canon’s product page now flags the model as discontinued.
For CRAOB, that means one thing:
Don’t feature the R7 as though it is a new/current-generation launch. Treat it as a remaining-stock opportunity.

Cheapest interchangeable-lens Canon: watch the EOS R100 carefully
The EOS R100 is another model where the discount matters more than the model’s age.
During Amazon Prime Day 2026, the R100 with RF-S18-45mm kit lens reached $499.
The body alone was also reported around $379 during the broader Prime Day sale period.
Canon’s September listing shows the 18-45mm kit at $549.99 versus $679.99, while also marking the model discontinued.
That means the R100 belongs in the clearance section, not at the center of the 2026 lineup.
If Amazon brings back the $499 kit territory—or goes lower—it could still make sense for someone prioritizing the lowest entry price into RF lenses.

Body-only or lens kit? Use Cyber Monday to solve the whole purchase
Camera discounts can be misleading because the cheapest body is not necessarily the cheapest usable setup.
Before buying, answer one question:
Do you already own RF or RF-S lenses?
Already invested in Canon RF?
Body-only pricing usually makes more sense.
Don’t pay extra for a kit zoom you will never mount.
First Canon mirrorless camera?
Compare the kit closely.
Starter lenses such as the RF-S18-45mm, RF24-50mm or RF24-105mm can make the difference between having a camera body and having something ready to shoot immediately.
Upgrading from Canon DSLR?
Canon RF cameras can use many EF and EF-S lenses through Canon’s EF-EOS R mount adapter.
A Cyber Monday adapter promotion can therefore be more useful than buying another kit lens you don’t need.
Avoid the giant Amazon accessory bundles
Canon cameras frequently appear on Amazon as third-party bundles containing 10, 15 or even 20 accessories.
A listing may advertise:
- two memory cards
- a tripod
- filters
- flash
- cleaning kit
- card reader
- bag
- extra batteries
and show a huge supposed bundle value.
Do not assume that makes it the better deal.
The accessories may be inexpensive generic products, and the camera itself can be imported, marketplace stock or covered differently than a standard U.S. authorized product.
For a high-value camera purchase, prioritize:
the exact U.S. camera model + useful Canon lens + reputable seller
over
the biggest accessory count.
Nine numbers worth keeping before Cyber Monday begins
These are 2026 reference points, not predictions of Cyber Monday pricing.
| Canon camera | Useful 2026 price context |
|---|---|
| EOS R8 Mark II | $1,899 launch price |
| EOS R6 Mark III | $2,799 current U.S. price |
| EOS R6 V | $2,499 launch/current price |
| EOS R5 Mark II | $3,899 Prime Day 2026 |
| EOS R50 V | $569.99 current Canon sale price |
| EOS R8 | $1,299 Prime Day 2026 |
| EOS R6 Mark II | about $1,999 in 2026 promotions |
| EOS R7 | $1,449 Prime Day 2026 |
| EOS R100 + 18-45mm | $499 Amazon Prime Day 2026 |
These do not guarantee what Amazon will charge on Cyber Monday.
They simply prevent a normal sale from looking extraordinary because the retailer compares it with an outdated MSRP.
The most important Canon comparison on Cyber Monday 2026
There isn’t one universally correct camera.
There are several generation-versus-price decisions.
R8 Mark II vs R8
Newest lightweight full frame with IBIS versus previous-generation full frame at potentially deep clearance pricing.
R6 Mark III vs R6 Mark II
Higher-resolution new hybrid versus an outgoing model that has already fallen roughly $800 below the new camera’s normal price.
R6 Mark III vs R6 V
Hybrid photography/video ergonomics versus a purpose-built video body.
R5 Mark II vs discounted original R5
Latest 45MP high-performance platform versus previous-generation professional hardware that has already reached $2,599 during 2026.
R50 vs R50 V
Photography-friendly entry camera with EVF versus a video-first creator body.
Those comparisons are more useful than ranking everything from one through ten.
What about the Canon EOS R1?
Canon’s EOS R1 remains the flagship professional sports/action body with a current Canon U.S. reference price of $6,799.
CRAOB will monitor it, but it should not occupy a primary slot in a mainstream Cyber Monday roundup unless an authorized U.S. retailer posts a meaningful verified discount.
The typical R1 buyer is choosing around professional autofocus, durability, speed, networking and workflow requirements—not an impulse holiday discount.

Before you buy
Cyber Monday 2026 arrives at an unusual moment for Canon.
The R8 family has just changed generations.
The R6 lineup now includes both a Mark III hybrid and R6 V video body.
Older R8, R6 Mark II, R7 and R100 inventory gives retailers several possible clearance plays.
And the R5 Mark II already has a meaningful 2026 promotional history against which we can judge its holiday price.
That means the best Canon deal may not be the camera with the largest percentage discount.
It may be the outgoing body that costs hundreds less than its replacement while still doing everything you need.
Choose the camera first.
Then let Cyber Monday decide which generation gives you the better value.
