Apple’s iPad lineup looks simple until you start comparing Cyber Monday prices.
There are only four main families:
iPad
The affordable everyday tablet.
iPad mini
The small, ultraportable model.
iPad Air
The performance/value sweet spot with an M4 chip.
iPad Pro
The premium OLED model for demanding creative and professional work.
But Cyber Monday 2026 has an unusual complication.
Apple raised U.S. prices across the entire iPad family in June.
The standard iPad jumped from $349 to $449.
iPad mini moved from $499 to $599.
iPad Air went from $599 to $749.
iPad Pro moved from $999 to $1,199.
That means a retailer can now advertise a dramatically larger dollar discount even when the actual selling price is no better than one we saw before the June increase.
So for Apple iPad Cyber Monday 2026 deals, we are going to use two benchmarks whenever they matter:
Current post-hike price
and
verified earlier-2026 sale price.
That is much more useful than simply trusting a crossed-out MSRP.
Apple has not announced Cyber Monday 2026 pricing yet, so none of the future discounts in this guide are predictions.
Which iPad Should You Watch?
Before looking at discounts, choose the appropriate category.
Buy the standard iPad if:
You want the least-expensive full-size Apple tablet.
You mainly stream, browse, video call, read, play games or do schoolwork.
You do not need Apple Intelligence.
Buy iPad mini if:
Portability is the priority.
You want something for reading, travel, pilots, field work or handheld gaming.
You want Apple Intelligence and Apple Pencil Pro in the smallest iPad.
Buy iPad Air if:
You want Apple Intelligence plus M-series performance.
You use Apple Pencil Pro.
You want to edit photos/video, multitask heavily or use the iPad as a lightweight laptop replacement.
For most people looking above the budget tier, this is where I would start.
Buy iPad Pro if:
You specifically want the tandem OLED Ultra Retina XDR display.
You need M5 performance.
You work with demanding creative apps, large projects, external displays or professional workflows.
You already know why Air isn’t enough.
Now let’s look at each Cyber Monday target.
The Budget Cyber Monday iPad: 11th-Generation iPad with A16
Apple iPad 11-inch (A16)
Apple’s standard iPad is still the 11th-generation A16 model introduced in March 2025.
It starts with 128GB of storage rather than the 64GB that entry iPads once offered, with 256GB and 512GB configurations also available.
The current Apple price after the June increase is:
128GB Wi-Fi — $449
Apple had originally priced the same model at $349.
Apple iPad 11-inch A16 128GB — Check Price on Amazon
Why this remains the family iPad to beat
The A16 iPad is powerful enough for most everyday tasks:
- Netflix and YouTube
- FaceTime
- web browsing
- school assignments
- casual gaming
- digital notes
- reading
- family use
It also has an 11-inch display and USB-C.
What it does not have is Apple Intelligence support.
Apple Intelligence on iPad requires A17 Pro or M-series hardware, which puts the current iPad mini, Air and Pro in a different capability tier.
If AI features matter to you, do not choose the standard iPad solely because the Cyber Monday discount is larger.
The A16 iPad Has Two Completely Different 2026 Price Benchmarks
Before Apple’s June price hike, Amazon repeatedly sold the 128GB model around $299.
For example, it hit $299 in May while Apple’s official price was still $349.
After Apple’s price increase to $449, the strongest common post-hike Amazon price has been:
$399 for 128GB
$499 for 256GB
$699 for 512GB.
This matters enormously.
If Amazon advertises:
“Save $100 — now $349!”
that would look like a huge discount from today’s $449 price.
But $349 would still be $50 more than the $299 buyers could get earlier in 2026.
CRAOB should therefore clearly label:
post-hike deal
versus
full-year historical low.
What Would Make the A16 iPad Interesting on Cyber Monday?
Using the current $449 price:
Around $399
Normal strong post-hike sale territory.
Meaningfully below $399
More interesting.
Approaching earlier $299–$350 pricing
Exceptionally compelling in today’s pricing environment.
Those are comparison thresholds based on existing price history—not predictions that Apple or Amazon will offer them.
Storage Choice: 128GB Is Enough for More Buyers Than Before
One reason the current entry iPad is easier to recommend is its 128GB starting capacity.
That is enough for many users who primarily:
stream media,
store documents in iCloud,
browse,
use social apps,
and install a moderate collection of games.
Move to 256GB when:
you download a lot of video,
store large games,
keep substantial photo/video libraries locally,
or expect several people to use the tablet.
The 512GB model becomes harder to recommend because its price can approach discounted iPad Air territory.
Always compare a higher-storage budget iPad with the next product family up.
The Small iPad: iPad mini with A17 Pro
Apple iPad mini 7
Apple’s current iPad mini is still the A17 Pro model introduced in October 2024.
It features:
- 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display
- A17 Pro
- Apple Intelligence
- Apple Pencil Pro support
- 128GB starting storage
- USB-C
- Wi-Fi 6E
- and Apple’s compact all-screen design.
Apple now charges:
128GB Wi-Fi — $599
after raising the price from $499 in June.
Apple iPad mini A17 Pro 128GB — Check Price on Amazon
iPad mini Is Not a Smaller Budget iPad
This distinction is important.
The mini costs more than the full-size A16 iPad because it provides capabilities the cheaper model does not.
Its A17 Pro chip supports:
Apple Intelligence
and
Apple Pencil Pro.
The mini can therefore make sense for:
artists who want a small sketchbook,
students who carry it everywhere,
pilots,
doctors and field workers,
travelers,
ebook readers,
and gamers who prefer handheld-size hardware.
If you’re buying primarily for Netflix at home, the larger standard iPad usually offers better value.
iPad mini Has Already Been Much Cheaper in 2026
This is another case where the June price hike changes the meaning of the discount.
Before the increase, Amazon repeatedly sold the 128GB mini for around $399–$399.99, compared with its old $499 price.
After Apple raised the MSRP to $599:
Amazon sold the 128GB model for $489 in July.
The 256GB version reached $589 and 512GB reached $769.
September pricing has been weaker at roughly $569 for 128GB.
That gives us clear Cyber Monday context.
A $569 mini is a sale from the current $599 price.
It is not a particularly exciting 2026 deal.
What Would Count as a Strong iPad mini Cyber Monday Price?
Around $569
Routine post-hike discount.
Around $489–$500
Much more interesting.
Around the earlier $399–$400 level
Exceptional relative to both today’s MSRP and most post-hike pricing.
Again, these are price-history comparisons—not forecasts.
Best iPad for Most Buyers: M4 iPad Air
Apple iPad Air M4
Apple refreshed the iPad Air in March 2026 with the M4 chip.
The M4 Air comes in:
- 11-inch
- 13-inch
sizes and supports:
- Apple Intelligence
- Apple Pencil Pro
- Magic Keyboard
- Wi-Fi 7
- Bluetooth 6
- and Apple’s C1X modem on cellular models.
Apple says the M4 Air is up to 30% faster than the M3 Air and up to 2.3x faster than the older M1 Air under its test conditions.
Current storage choices include:
128GB
256GB
512GB
1TB.
The 11-inch M4 iPad Air Is the Cyber Monday Sweet Spot
Apple currently charges:
11-inch M4 iPad Air 128GB — $749
after raising the price from the original $599 launch level.
Apple 11-inch iPad Air M4 — Check Price on Amazon
For most people wanting something more capable than the standard iPad, this is the model I would check first.
You get:
M4 performance,
Apple Intelligence,
Apple Pencil Pro,
Magic Keyboard support,
P3 color,
antireflective coating,
and much more performance headroom than the standard A16 iPad.
But M4 iPad Air Price History Is Complicated
M4 Air launched at $599.
Before Apple’s price increase, Amazon pushed the 128GB 11-inch version as low as $519.99.
Apple then raised the official starting price to $749.
Since that change, strong Amazon/Best Buy pricing has looked more like:
$649 for the 11-inch 128GB
—$100 off the new reference price.
That means Cyber Monday needs context.
A $649 Air sounds like “$100 off.”
But it is still roughly $129 higher than the $519.99 price buyers saw earlier in 2026.
Both facts belong in the article.
13-inch M4 iPad Air: For People Who Want More Canvas
The 13-inch Air provides essentially the same M4 platform with more display area.
Apple currently starts it at approximately $949 after the summer price changes.
Recent post-hike promotions have taken the 128GB version down to around $849.
Apple 13-inch iPad Air M4 — Check Price on Amazon
Before the price increase, the 256GB 13-inch model had fallen to approximately $789.99 during May promotions.
The larger Air is best for:
digital art,
split-screen work,
large PDFs,
music production,
video timelines,
or buyers who use the iPad as a laptop-style device.
11-inch Air or 13-inch Air?
Do not let Cyber Monday choose your size.
Choose 11-inch when:
portability matters,
you hold the iPad frequently,
you travel often,
or you use an external monitor for serious work.
Choose 13-inch when:
you mostly work at a desk,
you draw,
you use split-screen apps,
you edit content,
or you want a laptop-like workspace.
A $100 discount does not make a device physically smaller in your backpack.
The Current Premium iPad: M5 iPad Pro
Apple iPad Pro M5
Apple introduced the M5 iPad Pro in October 2025, and it remains the current Pro model in September 2026.
It comes in:
11-inch
and
13-inch
sizes.
Its headline hardware includes:
- M5 chip
- tandem OLED Ultra Retina XDR display
- ProMotion
- Thunderbolt
- Apple Intelligence
- Apple Pencil Pro support
- Magic Keyboard support
- Wi-Fi 7
- and C1X connectivity in cellular versions.
Apple 11-inch iPad Pro M5 — Check Price on Amazon
Apple 13-inch iPad Pro M5 — Check Price on Amazon
Apple Also Raised iPad Pro Prices by $200
The M5 iPad Pro originally launched at:
11-inch — $999
13-inch — $1,299.
After Apple’s June price changes, the starting prices became approximately:
11-inch — $1,199
13-inch — $1,499.
That is a $200 jump without a new iPad Pro generation.
This may create some of the most misleading Cyber Monday “savings” in Apple’s entire catalog.
M5 iPad Pro Has Already Been Much Cheaper
Before the price increase, Amazon sold the 256GB 11-inch M5 iPad Pro for as little as $799.99, down from its then-$999 price.
Other configurations also saw large discounts.
Amazon took up to $518 off selected higher-capacity M5 Pro models in January.
After the June increase, September pricing has been much less dramatic.
For example:
11-inch M5 iPad Pro 256GB — around $1,139
against the new $1,199 reference price.
That is technically a $60 discount.
But it is nowhere close to the $799.99 price the same basic model reached earlier in 2026.
This is precisely why CRAOB should show price history.
Who Actually Needs iPad Pro?
iPad Pro earns its premium when you care about the features Air cannot match.
The biggest one is the tandem OLED Ultra Retina XDR display.
That makes Pro especially attractive for:
professional photo/video work,
HDR content,
illustration,
design,
color-sensitive creative tasks,
high-end gaming,
and anyone who simply wants Apple’s best tablet display.
The M5 chip also provides significantly more performance headroom.
But someone mainly browsing, writing documents and watching Netflix is unlikely to get $450–$700 more practical value from Pro than Air.
Cyber Monday discounts should not turn iPad Pro into an automatic recommendation.
11-inch iPad Pro vs. 13-inch iPad Pro
Choose the 11-inch Pro when you want maximum performance and OLED quality without giving up portability.
Choose the 13-inch Pro when the iPad functions as a primary creative workstation.
The larger display becomes particularly valuable for:
Final Cut Pro,
Logic,
illustration,
photo editing,
multitasking,
and external-keyboard use.
But remember that accessories cost more on the larger model too.
iPad mini vs. iPad Air Could Become an Unexpected Cyber Monday Comparison
At current Apple prices:
iPad mini — $599
11-inch iPad Air — $749
The gap is only $150.
Both support:
Apple Intelligence
and
Apple Pencil Pro.
But Air gives you:
a much larger display,
M4,
Magic Keyboard support,
and a more laptop-like workflow.
Mini gives you:
dramatically better portability.
If Cyber Monday discounts the mini poorly but Air aggressively, the gap can become surprisingly small.
Don’t assume the mini is automatically the cheaper choice.
Standard iPad vs. iPad Air: Probably the Most Important Family Comparison
Current starting prices:
A16 iPad — $449
M4 Air — $749.
That is a $300 gap.
The standard iPad makes sense for entertainment, kids, casual productivity and general family use.
Air makes sense when you care about:
Apple Intelligence,
M4 performance,
Apple Pencil Pro,
better display characteristics,
and a more capable accessory ecosystem.
Cyber Monday could compress that $300 difference considerably.
If Air falls into strong sale territory while iPad only gets a modest discount, paying more for Air could make better long-term sense.
iPad mini Is Still the Only Real Choice for This Buyer
Despite its age, iPad mini remains unusually differentiated.
No other current iPad is only 8.3 inches.
If you want:
a one-handed tablet,
an e-reader replacement,
a compact cockpit/field tablet,
a gaming handheld-style device,
or a notebook-size Apple Pencil canvas,
there is no direct equivalent elsewhere in Apple’s lineup.
That means iPad mini should be evaluated based on portability—not merely price per inch.
Cyber Monday Is Also an Excellent Time to Watch Apple Pencil Pro
Apple Pencil Pro
Apple Pencil Pro works with current:
- M5 iPad Pro
- M4 iPad Air
- A17 Pro iPad mini
and selected earlier compatible models.
It includes squeeze controls, barrel roll, haptic feedback, hover, double tap and Find My integration. Apple currently charges $129.
Apple Pencil Pro — Check Price on Amazon
Amazon has already sold Apple Pencil Pro for $99 during 2026 promotions.
That gives us a useful Cyber Monday benchmark.
A return to roughly $99 is meaningful.
A $119 sale is much less exciting.
Don’t Buy Apple Pencil Pro for the A16 iPad
The standard A16 iPad does not support Apple Pencil Pro.
It supports other Apple Pencil options instead.
This is exactly the kind of compatibility mistake a Cyber Monday gift buyer can make when Amazon surfaces several Pencil generations in the same search results.
Check the exact iPad model before buying the accessory.
Magic Keyboard Can Change the Real Price of an iPad
An iPad advertised at $749 is not necessarily a $749 laptop replacement.
Add Apple’s Magic Keyboard and the total rises substantially.
For M4 iPad Air, the current 11-inch Magic Keyboard costs $269.
Apple Magic Keyboard for 11-inch iPad Air — Check Price on Amazon
The 13-inch version costs more.
For M5 iPad Pro:
11-inch Magic Keyboard — $299
13-inch Magic Keyboard — $349.

Before Turning an iPad Into a Laptop, Compare a MacBook
This is especially important with iPad Pro.
Imagine buying:
13-inch iPad Pro,
Magic Keyboard,
Apple Pencil Pro,
and higher storage.
The final cost can approach or exceed a MacBook.
That may still be the correct choice if you need:
touch,
Apple Pencil,
tablet mode,
or iPad-specific creative workflows.
But if you primarily want:
keyboard,
trackpad,
desktop browser,
file management,
coding,
or traditional laptop software,
compare the complete iPad package against a MacBook rather than comparing only the tablet prices.
Wi-Fi or Cellular?
Cyber Monday listings often mix the two.
Cellular models make sense when the iPad frequently operates away from Wi-Fi and you don’t want to tether to a phone.
Examples include:
field work,
frequent travel,
vehicle use,
professional work,
and always-connected navigation.
Otherwise, Wi-Fi usually offers better value.
Remember that a cellular iPad can also create an ongoing carrier cost.
The bigger Cyber Monday discount on cellular does not necessarily make it cheaper to own.
Color Can Affect Amazon Pricing
Current iPad Air colors include:
- Blue
- Purple
- Starlight
- Space Gray.
iPad mini comes in:
- Space Gray
- Blue
- Purple
- Starlight.
The standard iPad comes in:
- Blue
- Pink
- Yellow
- Silver.
iPad Pro is available in:
- Silver
- Space Black.
Amazon may discount one color more than another.
If you’re flexible, check every finish of the exact capacity/connectivity configuration before paying.
Previous-Generation iPad Air M3 Can Be a Clearance Target
Amazon and other retailers may still surface M3 iPad Air stock.
That model should now be treated as previous-generation.
Apple iPad Air M3 Clearance — Check Price on Amazon
Before M4 arrived, the 128GB 11-inch M3 Air fell as low as around $489.99 in early 2026.
M3 remains powerful and supports Apple Intelligence.
But Cyber Monday clearance only makes sense when it is significantly cheaper than M4 Air.
Do not pay close-to-M4 money simply because the M3 listing claims a larger percentage discount.
M4 iPad Pro Is Another Clearance Option
Likewise, previous M4 iPad Pro hardware may remain available through marketplace or retailer inventory.
Apple iPad Pro M4 Clearance — Check Price on Amazon
It already provides the OLED design that continued into M5.
A large price gap can therefore make M4 Pro attractive.
But verify:
new vs. renewed condition,
seller,
storage,
Wi-Fi vs. cellular,
nano-texture vs. standard glass,
and warranty.
Do not let the search results mix fundamentally different models.

Our Cyber Monday Price Test
Because of Apple’s June price increases, each iPad needs a different standard.
Standard iPad
A sale needs to beat the repeated $399 post-hike level to become particularly interesting.
Earlier $299 pricing provides historical context.
iPad mini
Current $569-ish discounts are modest.
A move toward the $489 post-hike low is much stronger.
M4 iPad Air
The current strong benchmark is roughly:
$649 for 11-inch 128GB
$849 for 13-inch 128GB.
M5 iPad Pro
Today’s MSRP makes discounts look huge.
Compare the 11-inch model not only against $1,199, but also against its extraordinary earlier-2026 low around $799.99.
That distinction needs to stay visible in the final Cyber Monday deal table.
Should You Wait From Black Friday Until Cyber Monday?
Not automatically.
Cyber Monday may:
continue Friday’s price,
change only certain capacities,
shift discounts to different colors,
improve accessory pricing,
or offer no additional iPad discount at all.
If Black Friday already reaches a genuinely strong benchmark for the exact iPad you want, there is no evidence-based reason to assume Monday must be cheaper.
This is particularly true for popular configurations such as:
128GB standard iPad,
128GB iPad mini,
128GB M4 Air,
and 256GB M5 iPad Pro.
Inventory can matter as much as price.
Final Cyber Monday Buying Strategy
The A16 iPad remains the easiest recommendation for families, casual users and buyers who simply want a large Apple tablet for entertainment and everyday tasks.
But remember that it does not support Apple Intelligence, while the current mini, Air and Pro do.
The A17 Pro iPad mini is still the uniquely portable option. Its $599 post-hike price is difficult to love, which makes Cyber Monday especially important for this model.
For most shoppers wanting stronger performance, 11-inch M4 iPad Air should be the centerpiece of the article.
It offers an M4 chip, Apple Intelligence, Apple Pencil Pro support and the Magic Keyboard ecosystem without the expensive tandem-OLED premium of iPad Pro.
The 13-inch Air is the same basic recommendation when screen space matters more than portability.
Finally, M5 iPad Pro should remain targeted toward people who understand why they need:
OLED,
ProMotion,
M5 performance,
Thunderbolt,
or professional creative workflows.
Most importantly, CRAOB’s Cyber Monday page should not calculate deals solely from Apple’s current higher prices.
Apple raised the entry iPad from $349 to $449, mini from $499 to $599, Air from $599 to $749 and Pro from $999 to $1,199 in June 2026.
That makes two numbers important:
today’s real price
and
the best price buyers have already seen during 2026.
Showing both will make this Apple iPad Cyber Monday 2026 Deals guide substantially more trustworthy than pages that simply say “Save $200” without explaining why the MSRP increased.
