Buying a Bose speaker on Cyber Monday 2026 should start with one question:
How portable does your speaker actually need to be?
Bose now has a neatly spaced SoundLink lineup ranging from a tiny clip-on speaker to the much larger SoundLink Max. That means spending more does not automatically get you the “better” speaker for your situation. A SoundLink Max makes sense for a backyard gathering, but carrying one when a SoundLink Flex would have done the job defeats the point.
For Cyber Monday 2026, CRAOB is watching four main Bose portable speakers:
- Bose SoundLink Micro Portable Speaker (2nd Gen)
- Bose SoundLink Flex Portable Speaker (2nd Gen)
- Bose SoundLink Plus Portable Speaker
- Bose SoundLink Max Portable Speaker
Rather than ranking them from best to worst, here is where each one fits—and the 2026 prices worth remembering before believing a Cyber Monday discount.
If it has to fit almost anywhere: SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen)
The Bose SoundLink Micro Portable Speaker (2nd Gen) is the smallest option in the current SoundLink family.
This is the Bose speaker to consider for a backpack strap, bicycle, golf cart, shower, hotel room or anywhere else where carrying a larger speaker would become annoying.
Bose upgraded the second-generation Micro with USB-C charging, Bluetooth 5.4, Bose app support and up to 12 hours of rated battery life. It retains an IP67 water- and dust-resistant design and now uses a removable fabric utility strap.
Its job is not to fill a large party space. The attraction is getting Bose portable sound in a form small enough that you are more likely to bring it with you.
The Cyber Monday number that matters
The regular U.S. price is around $129, but Amazon has already taken the Micro 2nd Gen down to approximately $79.99 during 2026.
That changes how we will evaluate its Cyber Monday deal.
A return to the $80 neighborhood would be far more interesting than a promotion that simply takes $20 or $30 off the regular price. If Amazon lists it for around $99 with a prominent Cyber Monday badge, remember that $99 has already appeared repeatedly during 2026.

If you want one speaker for trips, home and outdoors: SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen)
For many buyers, the Bose SoundLink Flex Portable Speaker (2nd Gen) sits in the most practical part of the range.
It is much easier to pack than the Plus or Max but provides a noticeably more substantial portable-speaker experience than the Micro.
Bose gives the Flex 2nd Gen an IP67 rating, approximately 12 hours of rated playback, a built-in utility loop and PositionIQ technology that adjusts the sound depending on how the speaker is positioned.
It can also work with compatible current SoundLink speakers using Party Mode. Two identical supported models can be used for Stereo Mode.
That makes the Flex particularly suitable for:
- beach and pool use
- hotel rooms
- patios and balconies
- picnics
- smaller backyard gatherings
- frequent travelers who still care about sound quality
Don’t judge the Flex from its list price
The important 2026 reference point is $99.
Amazon reached that price around its summer sale period, so a Cyber Monday listing substantially above $99 should not automatically be described as an exceptional deal simply because the advertised discount looks large.
There may also be different pricing by color. Bose regularly sells SoundLink products in standard and limited-edition finishes, and one color can become cheaper while another stays near regular price.
Unless color matters strongly to you, check several variants before checking out.

If the Flex feels too small but the Max feels excessive: SoundLink Plus
This may be the most interesting part of Bose’s current speaker lineup.
The Bose SoundLink Plus Portable Speaker exists between the compact Flex and the much larger Max.
That middle position matters.
It is designed for buyers who want stronger room- and outdoor-filling performance without moving all the way to Bose’s largest current portable speaker. Bose rates it for up to 20 hours of battery life, and its USB-C connection can also be used to charge another device.
The Plus carries an IP67 rating and is designed to resist the sort of water, dust and handling that comes with outdoor use.
It also participates in Bose’s newer SoundLink ecosystem, allowing compatible speakers to be paired for Party Mode.
$199 is good context—but $179 is better context
The SoundLink Plus launched at $269.
During 2026, Amazon has offered it for $199 multiple times. More importantly, it dropped to $179 in July 2026.
That $179 sale gives us a stronger benchmark for Cyber Monday.
If the Plus returns to $199, that is a legitimate reduction from its standard price, but it would not be a new 2026 low based on the pricing CRAOB has already tracked.
A move closer to $179 would be more noteworthy.
And if the Plus and Max end up unusually close together in price during Cyber Monday, do not buy solely from the advertised percentage discount. Compare the actual dollar gap and decide whether the larger Max better fits where you will use it.

If your portable speaker mostly travels from the house to the patio: SoundLink Max
The Bose SoundLink Max Portable Speaker is where the SoundLink family stops being about minimal size and starts concentrating on bigger portable sound.
It is still designed to move around, complete with a removable rope handle, but this is the model aimed more at gatherings, patios, cookouts, pool areas and larger rooms.
Bose rates battery life at up to 20 hours. The Max is IP67-rated and includes USB-C charging plus a 3.5mm auxiliary input—useful for shoppers who still want a wired source option.
It is also the most expensive SoundLink model in this group at its regular pricing.
That makes sale history especially important.
Amazon has already shown us $249
The SoundLink Max carries a regular price around $399, but Amazon dropped it to $249 in July 2026.
That was a much more meaningful price than simply seeing the Max fall to $329 or $299.
Bose’s own U.S. store has also shown aggressive Max promotions in 2026, so Amazon’s Cyber Monday offer needs to be evaluated against the broader market rather than the $399 figure alone.
For CRAOB’s Cyber Monday tracking, $249 is the reference point we will remember.
A Cyber Monday price near that level would bring the Max back into historically strong 2026 territory. A price significantly above it may still be a discount, but it would not automatically be the strongest opportunity buyers have seen this year.

The easiest way to choose: don’t start with the sale percentage
Imagine four situations.
“I want something attached to my bag.”
Start with the SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen).
Its size and strap are the reasons to own it. Paying more for the Flex only makes sense if you are comfortable carrying something larger.
“I want one Bose speaker to take almost everywhere.”
Look hardest at the SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen).
This is the most travel-friendly middle ground and should be especially compelling when Amazon returns to its stronger 2026 sale territory.
“I want more output for gatherings but still want easy portability.”
Watch the SoundLink Plus.
Its value becomes particularly attractive if the gap between it and the Flex becomes small.
“I care more about bigger sound than minimum weight.”
Watch the SoundLink Max.
The regular price is high enough that waiting for a serious promotion makes considerably more sense here.
Four prices we will remember on Cyber Monday
When Cyber Monday deals arrive, these are the historical 2026 reference points CRAOB will compare against:
SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen): around $80
SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen): $99
SoundLink Plus: $179
SoundLink Max: $249
Those numbers do not mean Amazon will repeat or beat them on Cyber Monday 2026.
They also are not predictions.
They are simply prices that these speakers have already reached during 2026, which makes them far more useful for judging a holiday offer than a crossed-out MSRP.
Watch the price gaps between models
One of the easiest mistakes during a major sale is considering each product separately.
Bose’s lineup makes cross-shopping especially important.
Suppose the Flex is discounted while the Plus receives an even deeper promotion. The difference between them may shrink enough that buyers who originally planned to purchase the Flex should consider stepping up.
The same applies to the Plus and Max.
At regular pricing, the models occupy obvious tiers. During a major event, those tiers can temporarily compress.
Before buying, open the Amazon listings for the model you want plus the speaker immediately above and below it.
The most useful deal may be the unexpected one.
Don’t forget to compare Bose speaker colors
Bluetooth-speaker prices can vary by finish.
Black may be one price while Blue Dusk, Citrus Yellow or another limited color is cheaper—or the reverse.
Amazon search results can also mix:
- different colors
- bundles
- older generations
- renewed products
- third-party sellers
Make sure the final product page identifies the exact model you intended to buy.
Saving another $10 or $20 by choosing a different color can make sense. Accidentally buying an older speaker because its title looks similar does not.
What about older Bose speakers?
Older Bose Bluetooth speakers can still appear on Amazon during holiday sales.
Models such as earlier SoundLink Micro versions, the original SoundLink Flex and SoundLink Revolve-series speakers may remain available through leftover inventory or marketplace sellers.
CRAOB will not automatically exclude every older Bose speaker.
A previous-generation model can make sense when:
- the price is substantially lower than the current equivalent,
- the seller is trustworthy,
- the model still offers the features the buyer actually needs,
- and the listing clearly states whether the product is new, renewed or refurbished.
However, an old model should not be included merely because its advertised discount percentage looks impressive.
The current Micro 2nd Gen and Flex 2nd Gen have already received sizable promotions during 2026. Older hardware needs to be inexpensive enough to justify giving up the newer generation.
Check Amazon’s own price history before buying
Amazon has expanded its shopping price-history tools, making it easier for U.S. shoppers to see recent price movements on supported product listings.
That is particularly useful for Bose.
If a speaker is marked as a Cyber Monday deal, check its recent price history rather than relying entirely on the sale badge.
Ask three questions:
Was it cheaper during the last 30 days?
How does today’s price compare with the last several months?
Is another SoundLink model unusually close in price?
That takes less time than researching every specification again and can prevent paying too much during a sale event.
Should you buy a Bose speaker before Cyber Monday?
Possibly.
A strong September, October or Black Friday price does not become a bad purchase merely because Cyber Monday is approaching.
In particular, the previous 2026 lows around $80 for Micro 2nd Gen, $99 for Flex 2nd Gen, $179 for Plus and $249 for Max provide useful targets.
If Amazon returns to one of those levels before Cyber Monday and the speaker is the model you already want, waiting carries no guarantee of a lower price.
Conversely, a routine discount that remains well above earlier 2026 lows gives buyers more reason to wait.
CRAOB’s Bose speaker Cyber Monday strategy
This page will focus on the current SoundLink family first, rather than filling the article with old Bose models just to increase the number of “deals.”
The four core targets are:
SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) for maximum portability.
SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) for the portable all-rounder role.
SoundLink Plus for stronger group listening without Max-sized bulk.
SoundLink Max for the biggest current portable Bose option.
When Cyber Monday 2026 pricing actually arrives, the useful question will not be which product has the largest percentage printed beside it.
It will be which SoundLink speaker fits your use case—and whether its real checkout price is genuinely competitive with what Bose and Amazon have already offered during 2026.
