HP Laptop Cyber Monday 2026 Deals: Best OmniBook Sales

HP laptop deals require more scrutiny than most Cyber Monday PC sales.

Two laptops can both say HP OmniBook 5 on the product page while having completely different processors, displays, storage, memory and real-world value. Amazon listings also frequently combine old and new HP generations under similar search terms, while percentage discounts can be calculated from list prices that are far less useful than the machine’s recent street price.

So for Cyber Monday 2026, do not shop HP by the size of the red discount badge.

Shop the configuration.

HP’s current U.S. consumer lineup now runs from OmniBook 3 through OmniBook Ultra, with Intel, AMD and Qualcomm platforms available across different parts of the range. HP refreshed the complete OmniBook family for 2026, including newer Snapdragon X2 and next-generation Intel/AMD options.

The practical hierarchy is:

HP familyWhere it fits
OmniBook 3Everyday/value laptops
OmniBook 5Mainstream students, families and general productivity
OmniBook 7Higher-performance productivity
OmniBook XPremium portable and convertible PCs
OmniBook UltraHP’s premium flagship consumer tier

This article focuses on those mainstream HP consumer laptops.

OMEN and Victus gaming laptops are intentionally excluded because they deserve separate gaming-laptop deal coverage.

Before looking at prices, use this HP Cyber Monday spec floor

A cheap HP laptop is not automatically a good Cyber Monday purchase.

For a Windows laptop you expect to keep for several years, a sensible 2026 starting configuration is generally:

16GB RAM
512GB SSD where possible
1920 × 1200 or better display
A modern Ryzen, Core Ultra or Snapdragon X-family processor

There are exceptions—a very inexpensive secondary laptop may work with less storage—but those four specifications prevent many false bargains.

The important point is that $499 with 16GB/512GB can be much better value than $449 with 8GB/256GB.

And a giant percentage discount on an oddly configured marketplace bundle tells you almost nothing about whether the laptop is actually worth buying.

Around $500–$600: OmniBook 3 is the first current family to watch

The HP OmniBook 3 is now HP’s everyday/value OmniBook family.

HP offers it in multiple sizes and processor configurations, including Intel, AMD and Qualcomm hardware. Some versions qualify as Copilot+ PCs.

A current 16-inch Snapdragon configuration, for example, pairs a Snapdragon X processor with 16GB RAM, a 2K display and 512GB SSD. HP also offers larger 17.3-inch Intel configurations.

This is exactly why CRAOB should avoid linking to one vague “HP OmniBook 3” search result and assuming every configuration is comparable.

We already have a useful 2026 Amazon benchmark

After Amazon’s U.S. Prime Day period in June, Tom’s Guide tracked a 16-inch OmniBook 3 with Snapdragon X, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD at $539, reduced from a listed $569.

That does not mean every OmniBook 3 should cost $539.

It means an equivalent configuration offered for $549–$569 during Cyber Monday should not automatically be described as a historic bargain.

Check:

  • processor
  • RAM
  • storage
  • display
  • whether Windows runs natively on the software you use

before comparing prices.

The mainstream sweet spot: OmniBook 5

For many buyers, OmniBook 5 is where HP’s 2026 lineup becomes most interesting.

HP describes OmniBook 5 as the upgrade path from the Pavilion family. Current configurations span 14- and 16-inch systems and include Intel, AMD and Snapdragon processors. OLED displays are available on selected models.

A current 16-inch Intel configuration can include:

  • Intel Core Ultra 7
  • 16GB onboard memory
  • 512GB SSD
  • 2K OLED display

HP has recently listed that configurable specification at $989.99 during a promotional period, against a displayed configuration MSRP of $1,639.99.

This is a useful warning about HP pricing.

A “39% off” label does not automatically mean the laptop has reached an unprecedented market low. Configurable PC MSRPs and HP’s frequent store promotions can create very large-looking percentage discounts.

For Cyber Monday, CRAOB should compare the final configuration price with equivalent Amazon listings—not only HP’s crossed-out MSRP.

Qualcomm OmniBook 5 deserves a separate check

HP also sells Snapdragon X OmniBook 5 models with 16GB RAM and 2K OLED screens.

These can provide attractive battery efficiency, but buyers with specialist Windows software should verify Windows on Arm compatibility before purchasing.

For Office, browsers, streaming and many mainstream applications, that may not be an issue.

For older drivers, niche professional software or unusual peripherals, compatibility deserves checking before a low price makes the decision for you.

OmniBook 7: do not pay premium money for ordinary specifications

The OmniBook 7 sits above OmniBook 5 and is positioned for more demanding productivity and heavier multitasking.

HP’s current lineup reaches configurations with up to 64GB memory, OLED screens and optional discrete NVIDIA graphics on selected systems.

This is the family where shoppers should start paying particularly close attention to the exact SKU.

During the June 2026 U.S. Prime Day period, Amazon offered a 17.3-inch OmniBook 7 with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD for $999, down from a displayed $1,349.

That $999 price is useful because the hardware actually supports the higher price tier:

  • Core Ultra 7
  • 32GB memory
  • 1TB SSD
  • large 17.3-inch display

A Cyber Monday OmniBook 7 at $999 with only 16GB/512GB should therefore not be treated as equivalent merely because the family name matches.

If you want a convertible: start with OmniBook X Flip

The OmniBook X Flip is the HP model family to watch when tablet mode, touchscreen use or pen-friendly flexibility matters.

HP currently sells both 14-inch and 16-inch versions, with AMD Ryzen AI and Intel Core Ultra configurations.

A current 14-inch AMD model can pair a Ryzen AI 7 processor with:

  • 16GB RAM
  • 1TB SSD
  • 2K OLED touchscreen

while higher configurations can reach 32GB RAM, 2TB storage and 3K OLED displays.

There are also Intel configurations with Core Ultra processors and 2K or 3K touch displays.

The useful 2026 benchmark is $749—but note the retailer

A 16-inch OmniBook X Flip with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD dropped from $1,199 to $749 at Best Buy during the June Prime Day period.

That is not an Amazon historical low, so CRAOB should label it correctly as a major-retailer benchmark.

It still matters.

If Amazon lists a comparable OmniBook X Flip for $899 during Cyber Monday, that may be a genuine Amazon discount while remaining substantially above a price already available elsewhere in 2026.

OmniBook Ultra 14 is where “latest” matters most

At the top of HP’s mainstream consumer lineup sits the OmniBook Ultra 14.

HP substantially refreshed it for 2026.

The newest version is available with platforms including Snapdragon X2 Elite and next-generation Intel Core Ultra, with premium configurations offering 3K OLED touch displays and up to 32GB or more memory depending on SKU.

The Snapdragon X2 Elite configuration listed by HP includes:

  • 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen
  • 32GB RAM
  • 1TB SSD
  • Snapdragon X2 Elite
  • Copilot+ PC support

HP says the new chassis measures about 10.7mm at its thin point and weighs under 1.3kg in qualifying configurations.

This model has already demonstrated why MSRP is a poor deal metric

The 2026 OmniBook Ultra arrived with configurations beginning around $1,899, while higher Snapdragon X2 Elite setups could run considerably more.

But during competing June sales around Amazon Prime Day, HP itself discounted a Snapdragon version to $1,249, $650 below its preceding price.

That was an HP Store promotion rather than an Amazon price, but it establishes an important 2026 market benchmark.

A Cyber Monday Amazon price near $1,700 could carry a large “discount” label while still looking weak beside the $1,249 major-retailer/HP benchmark.

Because exact Ultra configurations vary enormously, always compare:

processor + RAM + SSD + display

before comparing the dollar amount.

Intel, AMD or Snapdragon? Do not let Cyber Monday decide this for you

HP now offers enough processor choices that two identically named OmniBooks can behave quite differently.

Choose Intel when compatibility is the priority

Current OmniBooks include Intel Core Ultra configurations across multiple families.

For buyers using traditional Windows desktop applications, specialist peripherals or business software, an Intel x86 machine is often the simplest compatibility decision.

AMD is another strong conventional Windows option

HP’s Ryzen and Ryzen AI configurations also retain the familiar x86 Windows compatibility model while often delivering strong integrated graphics and efficiency.

Current OmniBook X Flip configurations, for example, include Ryzen AI 7 and Ryzen AI 9 options.

Snapdragon prioritizes efficiency—but verify your software

Snapdragon X and newer X2 machines can offer excellent efficiency and long battery-life potential.

HP says a qualifying 2026 OmniBook 3 16 configuration can reach extremely long local-video playback under HP’s controlled test conditions. Real battery life depends heavily on workload and configuration.

Windows on Arm compatibility has improved considerably, but specialized software, drivers and accessories should still be checked before purchase.

A $200 saving is not useful if your essential application does not behave properly.

What happened to Pavilion, Envy and Spectre?

They should no longer form the backbone of a new 2026 HP laptop article.

HP’s own U.S. store now explicitly positions:

Pavilion Plus → OmniBook 7
Pavilion → OmniBook 5
Spectre x360 → OmniBook Ultra

Older Pavilion, Envy and Spectre machines can absolutely still be good laptops.

But on Amazon they should be treated as previous-generation or clearance inventory, not mixed indiscriminately with the current OmniBook portfolio.

That means an older Spectre x360 becomes interesting when:

  1. the exact configuration is still competitive,
  2. the seller and warranty are clear,
  3. and its clearance price substantially undercuts the equivalent OmniBook Ultra or OmniBook X.

The same applies to Pavilion and Envy.

Do not buy an old model merely because its original MSRP creates a dramatic discount percentage.

Be careful with Amazon’s third-party HP configurations

HP laptops are frequently sold on Amazon in configurations that are not normal manufacturer SKUs.

A seller may take a standard laptop and advertise it with:

  • unusually large RAM capacity
  • upgraded SSD
  • external accessories
  • USB drives
  • docking stations
  • software bundles

That does not automatically make the package bad.

But it can make price comparison much harder, and seller-installed upgrades may affect warranty expectations.

For CRAOB’s primary Cyber Monday deals, prefer straightforward U.S. retail configurations whenever possible.

The Amazon CTA should make the exact configuration clear before a price is added to the article.

The 2026 price benchmarks worth remembering

There is no honest Cyber Monday 2026 price yet.

What we do have is real 2026 sale evidence.

HP laptop/configurationVerified 2026 reference
OmniBook 3, Snapdragon X, 16GB/1TB$539 Amazon after Prime Day
OmniBook 7, Core Ultra 7, 32GB/1TB$999 Amazon after Prime Day
OmniBook X Flip 16, 16GB/1TB$749 Best Buy benchmark
OmniBook Ultra 14 Snapdragon$1,249 HP Store benchmark
OmniBook 5 16, current higher-spec Intel configurationHP recently advertised $989.99 on one configuration

The first two are particularly useful Amazon U.S. benchmarks. The X Flip and Ultra prices are major-retailer/manufacturer references, and should be labeled that way rather than presented as Amazon lows.

For other exact 2026 OmniBook configurations, trustworthy Amazon price history is inconsistent or limited.

When the history cannot be verified, CRAOB should simply say so rather than manufacture a “lowest-ever” price.

A better way to read an HP Cyber Monday listing

Imagine Amazon shows this:

HP OmniBook 5 — $699, was $1,099

Do not immediately write “Save $400.”

First identify:

Processor: Which exact Intel, AMD or Snapdragon chip?
RAM: 8GB, 16GB or 32GB?
Storage: 256GB, 512GB or 1TB?
Display: Basic IPS, 2K OLED or 3K OLED?
Touch: Yes or no?
Seller: Amazon/HP or a third party?
Condition: New, renewed or open-box?
Exact SKU: Is it a normal U.S. configuration?

Only then is the $699 figure meaningful.

This is especially important with HP because the company sells an unusually wide range of configurations under each family name.

Don’t automatically pay extra for “AI PC”

Terms such as:

  • AI PC
  • Next Gen AI PC
  • Copilot+ PC
  • NPU TOPS

appear throughout HP’s current lineup.

They identify real hardware capabilities, particularly local neural-processing acceleration.

But they should not replace the fundamentals.

For most shoppers, RAM, SSD capacity, display quality, battery life, processor performance and software compatibility remain more useful purchase criteria than simply choosing whichever box displays the highest AI number.

Buying a 16GB/512GB machine with a better display may make more sense than paying extra for an NPU capability you do not currently use.

What about the traditional HP 14, HP 15 and HP 17 laptops?

Amazon still sells many laptops under older generic HP naming.

Some can become very inexpensive.

For example, after Prime Day 2026 Tom’s Guide tracked:

  • an HP 17 at $483
  • an HP Laptop 15 at $659

on Amazon.

But the configuration matters enormously.

The cited HP 17 used an Intel N100 processor with only 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the HP Laptop 15 listing combined an N100-class processor with larger memory/storage.

Those are not automatically better values than a newer OmniBook simply because the discount looks larger.

For Cyber Monday 2026, generic HP 14/15/17 models should be treated as budget opportunities, not headline recommendations, unless the specification is unusually strong for the price.

What about HP Chromebooks?

HP also refreshed its Chromebook portfolio for 2026, including the HP Chromebook Plus 14 and Chromebook Plus x360 14.

They can be excellent purchases for:

  • browser-based schoolwork
  • Google Workspace
  • streaming
  • web applications
  • Android-connected households

But ChromeOS and Windows serve different software needs.

This article should not compare an inexpensive Chromebook directly against a Windows OmniBook solely on price.

If CRAOB finds an exceptional Chromebook deal, label it clearly as a Chromebook.

Which HP laptop should you watch on Cyber Monday?

There is no single “best HP laptop deal” because HP’s current lineup covers too many configurations.

Instead, watch the price bands.

OmniBook 3 is where current HP value shopping begins.

OmniBook 5 should be the core mainstream target for students, families and general home/work use.

OmniBook 7 makes more sense when the configuration actually adds meaningful RAM, storage, display or performance.

OmniBook X Flip is the one to watch when the convertible touchscreen format is something you will genuinely use.

And OmniBook Ultra 14 is the premium target—but its 2026 sale history already proves that a large discount can appear long before Cyber Monday.

Older Pavilion, Envy and Spectre laptops remain valid only when the clearance price creates a compelling reason to buy the previous generation.

Most importantly, CRAOB should never publish an HP deal based on the family name alone.

For Cyber Monday 2026, every deal should identify the exact processor, RAM, storage, screen size and seller alongside the price.

With HP laptops, the specification is the deal.
