Buying Marantz on Black Friday is easier if you stop thinking about individual boxes.
Start with the room.
Are you building a seven-speaker living-room theater?
A 9.4-channel Atmos room?
A two-channel music system that also handles the TV?
A compact system for vinyl, streaming and CDs?
Or a reference home theater where the processor and power amplifiers live in separate chassis?
Marantz now has products for every one of those jobs, and the 2026 lineup has changed enough that an old Black Friday product list can send you toward the wrong generation.
Most importantly, CINEMA 50 SERIES 2, CINEMA 60 SERIES 2 and CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 are now current models. The original CINEMA 50, 60 and 70s remain available, but their Black Friday appeal is increasingly about price rather than being the newest hardware.
So this guide starts with what you are trying to build.
Room 1: A serious Atmos theater without moving to separates
Marantz CINEMA 50 SERIES 2
For many home-theater buyers, CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is the Marantz model to check first this Black Friday.
It is a 9.4-channel AV receiver rated at 110W per channel, with processing capability extending to 11.4 channels through its pre-outs.
It also provides:
- six HDMI inputs, all supporting 8K
- Dolby Atmos
- DTS:X
- AURO-3D
- IMAX Enhanced
- HEOS streaming
- AirPlay 2
- Audyssey MultEQ XT32
- four-subwoofer support
- Dirac Live upgrade capability
Marantz lists it at $3,000 in the U.S. before any future Black Friday promotion.
The Dirac detail needs careful wording.
CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 supports a Dirac Live upgrade, but Marantz’s specification sheet identifies it as an upgrade rather than something buyers should assume is included free with every unit.
Why the SERIES 2 designation matters
The previous CINEMA 50 also has 9.4 channels, 110W-per-channel amplification and Audyssey MultEQ XT32.
The SERIES 2 version introduces Marantz’s newer DAC implementation and becomes the current-generation model. Marantz still lists the original CINEMA 50 alongside the replacement, including through outlet/recertified inventory.
That makes Black Friday comparison unusually important.
If the original CINEMA 50 gets a deep clearance price, it could remain excellent value.
If the gap is modest, favor the current SERIES 2 platform.

Room 2: A 5.1.2 or 7.1 system where nine amplifier channels are unnecessary
Marantz CINEMA 60 SERIES 2
CINEMA 60 SERIES 2 steps down to 7.2 channels and 100W per channel.
For a typical 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos system or conventional seven-channel theater, that can be exactly the right amount of receiver.
You still get:
- Dolby Atmos
- DTS:X
- HEOS
- AirPlay 2
- HDMI eARC
- six HDMI inputs
- three 8K-capable HDMI inputs
- Audyssey MultEQ XT
- optional Dirac Live upgrade support
Marantz currently lists CINEMA 60 SERIES 2 at $2,000.
This is one of the places where spending less can actually produce the better system.
If your room is never going beyond seven amplified channels, paying for CINEMA 50 SERIES 2’s additional amplification and processing might accomplish very little.
Put the difference toward:
better speakers,
a second subwoofer,
acoustic treatment,
or the display.
The older CINEMA 60 becomes a clearance comparison
The first-generation CINEMA 60 remains available at $1,800 on Marantz’s U.S. store, and Marantz also has recertified units in its outlet.
That creates a clean Black Friday rule:
Small price difference → SERIES 2.
Large clearance difference → compare the original CINEMA 60 carefully before spending more.

Room 3: The cabinet is too small for a full-size receiver
Marantz CINEMA 70s SERIES 2
This is why Marantz continues to make a slimline CINEMA receiver.
CINEMA 70s SERIES 2 gives you 7.2-channel processing and amplification in a noticeably shorter chassis.
Its rated output is 50W per channel, so the point is not to compete with CINEMA 30 on raw power.
Instead, you get:
- 7.2 channels
- Dolby Atmos
- DTS:X
- six HDMI inputs
- three 8K-capable HDMI inputs
- HDMI eARC
- HEOS
- AirPlay 2
- Audyssey MultEQ XT
- Dirac Live upgrade capability
Marantz lists it at $1,500.
This model makes sense when physical space is genuinely part of the buying decision.
Think:
media consoles,
smaller living rooms,
apartment systems,
or furniture where a conventional AVR simply does not fit comfortably.
Do not confuse slim with cheap
The original CINEMA 70s is still available at $1,300, with recertified stock appearing for less through Marantz’s own outlet.
That makes the old 70s one of the most interesting previous-generation Black Friday targets in the range.

Room 4: You want a receiver, but this is becoming a dedicated theater
The SERIES 2 models do not replace everything above them.
Marantz CINEMA 40
CINEMA 40 remains an active current Marantz model.
It delivers:
9.4 channels
125W per channel
seven 8K HDMI inputs
three HDMI outputs
Audyssey MultEQ XT32
and Dirac Live upgrade capability.
It is also built in Marantz’s Shirakawa facility in Japan.
Compared with CINEMA 50 SERIES 2, CINEMA 40 gives you more rated amplification, seven rather than six HDMI inputs and Marantz’s higher reference positioning.
But CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 is newer.
That makes this a particularly interesting 2026 Black Friday comparison rather than a simple “higher model number wins” decision.

Marantz CINEMA 30
CINEMA 30 sits at the top of the integrated receiver range.
It provides 11.4 amplified channels, 140W per channel, seven 8K HDMI inputs and Audyssey MultEQ XT32, along with Dirac Live upgrade support.
That means a large Atmos system can be built without immediately moving into a separate processor and power amplifiers.
For somebody planning 7.2.4 or similarly ambitious layouts, that matters.
For somebody building 5.1.2, it is expensive unused capability.
Marantz CINEMA 30 11.4-Channel Reference AV Receiver — Check Price on Amazon
Room 5: The theater has outgrown the idea of an AV receiver
At some point, an AVR stops being the logical architecture.
That is where Marantz’s current separates range begins.
Marantz AV 30
The newer AV 30 is an 11.4-channel balanced AV preamplifier/processor.
It provides:
- seven 8K HDMI inputs
- balanced outputs
- four independent subwoofer outputs
- Dolby Atmos
- DTS:X Pro
- AURO-3D
- HEOS
- Audyssey MultEQ XT32
- Dirac Live upgrade capability
Marantz currently lists AV 30 at $4,000.
But AV 30 does not replace a receiver by itself.
It processes the signal.
You still need power amplification.
That is why comparing an AV 30 sale price directly with a CINEMA receiver price is misleading.
Marantz AMP 30
AMP 30 is the natural newer-generation partner for installations that need external amplification.
It is a six-channel power amplifier rated at 200W per channel. Marantz also sells systems combining AMP 30 with CINEMA 30, CINEMA 40 and AV 30.

Marantz AMP 30 6-Channel 200W Power Amplifier — Check Price on Amazon
Above that: AV 20 / AMP 20 and AV 10 / AMP 10
Marantz’s current separates catalog continues upward:
AV 20: 13.4-channel processor — $6,000
AMP 20: 12-channel, 200W power amplifier — $6,000
AV 10: 15.4-channel processor — $8,000
AMP 10: 16-channel, 200W amplifier — $8,000.
These belong in the article for generation and system context.
They should not dominate an Amazon affiliate page.
At $6,000–$8,000 per component, speaker layout, amplification requirements, dealer support and installation matter more than chasing a random marketplace seller’s percentage-off badge.
Room 6: You want two speakers, not twelve
Marantz is just as relevant for stereo.
The key is deciding how much you want the amplifier itself to do.
Marantz MODEL M1: streaming amp first
MODEL M1 is one of the cleanest current Marantz products.
It is a compact 2.1-channel streaming amplifier rated at 100W per channel into 8 ohms, with:
- HEOS
- AirPlay 2
- Bluetooth
- HDMI eARC
- subwoofer output
- high-resolution streaming
It costs $1,000 direct from Marantz.
No separate network streamer is required.
No conventional AV receiver is required.
Connect:
TV → HDMI eARC
speakers → MODEL M1
network → HEOS
and you have a compact music-and-TV system.
The omission is equally important: MODEL M1 does not include a phono input.
Vinyl users need an external phono stage or a different Marantz amplifier.
Marantz MODEL M1 Wireless Streaming Amplifier — Check Price on Amazon
Room 7: Streaming, TV and vinyl all need to share one stereo amplifier
Marantz MODEL 60n
MODEL 60n fits a different buyer.
It provides 60W per channel of Class A/B amplification and includes:
- HEOS
- HDMI ARC
- MM phono input
- digital inputs
- high-resolution streaming
- subwoofer connectivity
Marantz lists it at $1,600.
That makes MODEL 60n particularly useful if your stereo system sits around the television but you still want it to behave like a traditional hi-fi amplifier.
You can connect:
turntable,
CD player,
TV,
streaming services,
and passive speakers
without building a tower of separate boxes.

MODEL 40n is still current—and still fills a different slot
MODEL 40n remains in Marantz’s active U.S. lineup at $2,700.
It provides 70W per channel, HEOS, an MM phono input and HDMI ARC.
Its existence means MODEL 60n is not simply “the new 40n.”
MODEL 40n remains the more premium integrated stereo component.
The question for Black Friday is whether the actual sale-price gap reflects what your speakers and room need.

What if you want HDMI switching but only two speakers?
Marantz STEREO 70s
STEREO 70s is easy to misunderstand.
It looks like a slim AV receiver because it includes six HDMI inputs and 8K support, but its amplifier is stereo.
Marantz rates it at 75W per channel, with HEOS built in.
That makes it unusually useful for someone who wants:
TV,
game console,
streaming box,
Blu-ray player,
turntable,
and two good speakers
without building a surround system.
MODEL 60n gives you a more traditional integrated-amplifier proposition.
STEREO 70s gives you far more HDMI switching.

Room 8: You still buy CDs and want one compact system
This is one of the more interesting additions to the 2026 Marantz lineup.
Marantz MCR 60n
The new MCR 60n combines several components that would normally require separate boxes:
- integrated amplifier
- CD player
- HEOS streamer
- HDMI eARC input
- MM phono stage
- Bluetooth
- subwoofer output
Marantz rates amplification at 65W + 65W into 4 ohms and supports high-resolution playback through its digital architecture.
That makes MCR 60n particularly interesting for a bedroom, office or smaller living room where a full component rack is unnecessary.
You add speakers.
Almost everything else is already inside.
At $1,000 list price, this should be one of the newer Marantz products worth monitoring as U.S. retail availability broadens. Marantz currently shows the product as new but out of stock direct.

Room 9: The CD collection deserves its own player
Marantz’s disc-player catalog is unusually broad for 2026.
The important thing is not to pay for functions you will never use.
Marantz CD 70
The new CD 70 is the straightforward current-generation CD player.
It provides:
- CD and CD-R/RW playback
- upgraded DAC
- HDAM-SA2 circuitry
- USB-A high-resolution playback
- headphone amplifier
Marantz lists it at $750. It does not play SACDs.
That makes it a clean choice for someone who wants to keep playing a normal CD library without adding streaming features to the player.

Marantz CD 50n
CD 50n is a different idea.
It combines a CD transport with:
- HEOS
- network streaming
- DAC inputs
- HDMI ARC
- Marantz HDAM circuitry
Marantz lists it at $2,000.
This makes sense when the CD player is also going to become the digital center of the stereo system.

Marantz SACD 30n
SACD 30n remains current at $3,500 and combines SACD/CD playback with HEOS streaming.
For somebody with an actual SACD collection, that is a meaningful distinction.
For ordinary CDs and Spotify, it may be money spent on capabilities you never use.

The reference 10 Series is not an impulse-buy section
Marantz’s current flagship two-channel line includes:
MODEL 10 integrated amplifier
SACD 10 disc player
LINK 10n streaming preamplifier.
MODEL 10 delivers 250W per channel and currently lists for $15,000.
SACD 10 costs $14,000 and uses Marantz’s proprietary SACDM-3 transport.
LINK 10n costs $14,000 and functions as a reference streaming preamplifier with HEOS, balanced architecture and HDMI ARC.
These products matter because they define the current flagship generation.
They do not need aggressive Amazon CTAs in the main deal section.
At this level, auditioning, authorized-dealer support, system matching and warranty confidence should take priority over an affiliate conversion.
Room 10: You don’t want a rack at all
Marantz now makes a very different type of product.
Marantz Horizon
Horizon is a self-contained wireless speaker powered by HEOS.
It integrates:
- amplification
- drivers
- streaming
- HDMI eARC
- Bluetooth
- AirPlay 2
- optical input
- DSP
Marantz rates the Horizon’s FTC amplifier output at 310W, and the system includes a 6.5-inch bass driver, three wideband drivers and two tweeters. It is currently $3,500 in the U.S.
This is not an alternative to CINEMA 50 SERIES 2.
It is an alternative to building a stereo component system at all.

Marantz Grand Horizon
Grand Horizon is the $5,500 flagship version of the same broader concept.
At that level, I would include it for completeness but keep Horizon as the more realistic Amazon deal target.

The previous-generation CINEMA receivers could produce the best discounts
The launch of SERIES 2 creates an obvious Black Friday opportunity.
Marantz still has the original:
CINEMA 50
CINEMA 60
CINEMA 70s
in its U.S. ecosystem, including recertified units in the official outlet.
That is not a reason to delete them.
It is a reason to change their editorial role.
CINEMA 50
Previous generation, but still 9.4 channels and 110W.
CINEMA 60
Previous generation, but still 7.2 channels and 100W.
CINEMA 70s
Previous-generation slimline 7.2-channel model.
If Amazon clears these aggressively after SERIES 2 arrives, they could be among the strongest Marantz value deals of Black Friday.
But the discount needs to be real.
Paying almost SERIES 2 money for last-generation stock makes little sense.

New, recertified and clearance are three different prices
Marantz operates its own U.S. recertified outlet.
Current examples include recertified CINEMA 30, CINEMA 40, CINEMA 50, CINEMA 60, CINEMA 70s, AV 10, AMP 10, STEREO 70s and MODEL M1 inventory.
That makes Black Friday comparison more complicated—but also more useful.
Before buying, compare:
Amazon new price
vs.
Marantz new price
vs.
Marantz recertified price.
Do not compare refurbished pricing with a new product and call the difference a retailer discount.
Product condition belongs next to the price.
Do not assume every Dirac-compatible Marantz includes Dirac
This deserves repeating.
Several current Marantz AV products support Dirac Live, including the new CINEMA SERIES 2 receivers.
Marantz’s own specification sheets describe the feature as Dirac Live upgradability or an optional upgrade on models such as CINEMA 50 SERIES 2, CINEMA 60 SERIES 2 and CINEMA 70s SERIES 2.
So when comparing Black Friday listings, verify whether a retailer bundle actually includes a Dirac license.
Do not assume the software license is included merely because the receiver supports it.
HDMI count matters more than “8K” printed on the box
Two receivers can both advertise 8K but give you different numbers of high-bandwidth HDMI inputs.
For example:
CINEMA 50 SERIES 2: six HDMI inputs, all six 8K capable.
CINEMA 60 SERIES 2: six HDMI inputs, three 8K capable.
CINEMA 70s SERIES 2: six HDMI inputs, three 8K capable.
CINEMA 40: seven HDMI inputs, all seven 8K capable.
If you have one current game console, none of this may matter.
If you have multiple consoles and high-bandwidth sources, it can matter a lot.
Count your sources before buying the receiver.
HEOS is the thread connecting much of modern Marantz
HEOS appears across a large portion of the current range:
CINEMA receivers,
MODEL M1,
MODEL 40n,
MODEL 60n,
STEREO 70s,
CD 50n,
SACD 30n,
MCR 60n,
Horizon,
Grand Horizon,
and the reference LINK 10n.
That matters if you are building more than one room.
A Marantz Black Friday purchase can become part of a larger HEOS multi-room setup later.
But do not pay for HEOS on every component unnecessarily.
A traditional MODEL 50 or MODEL 30 can still make more sense in a dedicated analog-focused hi-fi setup where streaming is handled elsewhere.
What Craob should prioritize for Black Friday 2026
The main article should not attempt to list every Marantz product ever made.
The strongest primary targets are:
Home theater
CINEMA 50 SERIES 2
CINEMA 60 SERIES 2
CINEMA 70s SERIES 2
CINEMA 40
CINEMA 30
Stereo / streaming
MODEL M1
MODEL 60n
STEREO 70s
Compact hi-fi / discs
MCR 60n
CD 70
CD 50n
One-box wireless audio
Marantz Horizon
Then keep original CINEMA 50/60/70s inventory in a separate previous-generation clearance section.
Reference products such as AV 10, AMP 10, MODEL 10, SACD 10 and LINK 10n should be covered for completeness, but they do not need to dominate an Amazon-focused affiliate page.
Current promotions are not Black Friday prices
Marantz already has sale and recertified pricing in September 2026.
For example, its outlet currently shows discounted recertified CINEMA receivers and other components, while certain high-end AV-separate bundles also have active promotions.
Those prices are useful when establishing today’s market.
They are not Black Friday 2026 prices.
Craob should not claim that:
“CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 will be $2,499,”
“MODEL M1 will be 30% off,”
or
“Marantz receivers will save $1,000”
until those promotions actually go live.
Black Friday pricing should always be updated from the real Amazon U.S. offer.
Final take
The biggest Marantz Black Friday change for 2026 is not a single receiver.
It is the fact that the range now offers several completely different ways to solve the same entertainment problem.
Want a compact Atmos receiver? CINEMA 70s SERIES 2.
Want a straightforward seven-channel theater? CINEMA 60 SERIES 2.
Want a more expandable 9.4-channel system? CINEMA 50 SERIES 2.
Want higher-end integrated home theater? CINEMA 40 or CINEMA 30.
Want separates? AV 30 and AMP 30 now create a current entry point before the more expensive AV 20/10 systems.
Want two-channel streaming? MODEL M1 or MODEL 60n.
Want stereo plus lots of HDMI inputs? STEREO 70s.
Want CD, streaming, vinyl and TV in one compact component? MCR 60n.
Want no component stack at all? Horizon.
And because SERIES 2 has arrived, original CINEMA 50, 60 and 70s receivers may become some of the most interesting clearance buys.
That is how to approach Marantz Black Friday 2026 Deals:
Choose the system architecture first.
Then choose the Marantz component.
Then look at the discount.
A large price reduction on the wrong architecture is still the wrong system.
