The easiest way to waste money on an HP OMEN deal in 2026 is to shop by the word OMEN alone.
HP has multiple generations of OMEN laptops circulating at the same time. Some use RTX 50-series GPUs but belong to the previous chassis generation. Others are brand-new 2026 HyperX OMEN systems. The same OMEN MAX 16 name can appear on machines with substantially different processors, cooling systems, graphics power, displays and prices.
There is also a branding change worth understanding before Cyber Monday begins.
In January 2026, HP announced that HyperX and OMEN would come together under one master gaming brand: HyperX. The newest laptops therefore use names such as HyperX OMEN 15, HyperX OMEN 16 and HyperX OMEN MAX 16.
For Cyber Monday shoppers, the GPU is the best place to start.
Instead of asking, “Which OMEN is discounted the most?”, ask:
What GPU performance tier am I actually buying?
The OMEN Cyber Monday 2026 map
| Gaming target | OMEN family to watch |
|---|---|
| Mainstream RTX 5060 gaming | HyperX OMEN 15 / OMEN 16 |
| Higher-end RTX 5070 gaming | HyperX OMEN 15 / OMEN 16 |
| RTX 5070 Ti performance | HyperX OMEN MAX 16 |
| RTX 5080 high-end gaming | HyperX OMEN MAX 16 |
| RTX 5090 flagship laptop | HyperX OMEN MAX 16 Intel |
| Portable clearance option | OMEN Transcend 14 |
| Previous-generation value | 2025 OMEN 16 / OMEN MAX 16 / OMEN 16 Slim |
This keeps the article focused on meaningful buying choices rather than turning it into a list of every OMEN SKU Amazon happens to carry.
RTX 5060: probably the most sensible place to start
For many gamers, an RTX 5060 OMEN is likely to be the most useful Cyber Monday target.
The current HyperX OMEN 15 and HyperX OMEN 16 both offer RTX 5060 configurations, giving buyers access to NVIDIA’s RTX 50-series feature set without jumping into the much more expensive MAX tier.
The new HyperX OMEN 15 is a 15.3-inch platform that can scale as high as an RTX 5070. HP offers Intel and AMD versions, with up to 32GB RAM and up to 1TB Gen5 SSD storage in the current family. Higher display configurations can reach 3K OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Current U.S. HP inventory includes configurations such as:
- RTX 5050
- RTX 5060
- RTX 5070
- 16GB or 32GB memory
- 512GB or 1TB storage
- IPS and higher-resolution display options
A current ready-to-ship HyperX OMEN 15 configuration pairs an RTX 5060 with 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD and a 15.3-inch 2.5K display.

HyperX OMEN 16 may be the better all-around gaming target
The HyperX OMEN 16 gives HP more room for cooling and a larger display while remaining well below the extreme MAX configurations.
The newest Intel version can scale up to:
- Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
- up to 2.5K OLED
- up to 165Hz
- OMEN Tempest Cooling
The AMD family can reach a Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and selected RTX 5070 configurations with 12GB of GDDR7 memory.
That AMD specification is especially worth identifying correctly because not every laptop called “RTX 5070” has the same VRAM allocation or power behavior.
A useful September 2026 retailer benchmark
A current 2026 HyperX OMEN 16 with:
- Intel Core Ultra 7 356H
- RTX 5060
- 16GB RAM
- 512GB SSD
- 16-inch 165Hz display
has recently been offered at $1,454.99 at Best Buy, versus a listed comparable value of $2,099.99.
That is not an Amazon historical low, so CRAOB should label it as a major-retailer benchmark.
But it is still extremely useful.
If Amazon lists a similar RTX 5060 OMEN 16 for $1,699 on Cyber Monday, a giant discount badge would not automatically make it competitive.

RTX 5070: this is where exact OMEN generation matters
RTX 5070 laptops are particularly messy on Amazon because HP now has both new HyperX systems and older OMEN configurations using that GPU name.
The current 2026 HyperX OMEN 15 supports up to RTX 5070 graphics. One current HP U.S. configuration pairs an Intel Core Ultra 7 with:
- RTX 5070 8GB
- 16GB RAM
- 1TB SSD
- 15.3-inch 2.5K display.
The HyperX OMEN 16 can also reach RTX 5070, including higher-end AMD configurations.

Older OMEN 16 RTX 5070 laptops can still be worthwhile
Previous-generation OMEN 16 machines should not automatically be rejected.
They simply need a lower price.
In May 2026, Amazon offered an OMEN 16 configuration with:
- Intel Core Ultra 9 285H
- RTX 5070
- 16-inch display
for $1,798.99, down from a listed $2,195. The deal tracker covering it described that as the lowest price it had tracked for that particular configuration.
Another Ryzen 9 8940HX / RTX 5070 OMEN 16 configuration reached $1,899 at Amazon in June, also reported as matching its tracked low.
Those give us useful 2026 references.
An older RTX 5070 OMEN 16 priced close to $2,200 on Cyber Monday would therefore be far less interesting.
RTX 5070 Ti is where OMEN MAX starts making more sense
The newest HyperX OMEN MAX 16 is HP’s no-compromise performance tier.
The updated Intel platform can start with combinations such as:
- Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus
- RTX 5070 Ti 12GB
- 16GB RAM
- 512GB SSD
- 16-inch 2560 × 1600 240Hz panel
HP currently lists that configuration within its U.S. MAX range.
The new Intel MAX family scales as high as:
Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus + RTX 5090 24GB
while the latest AMD side reaches:
Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 + RTX 5080 16GB.
That makes the MAX fundamentally different from a normal OMEN with the same screen size.
You are paying for greater GPU capability, stronger cooling and more performance headroom—not simply for the word MAX.

RTX 5080: check whether you are buying the 2025 or 2026 MAX
This may be the most important OMEN Cyber Monday distinction.
The OMEN MAX 16 name existed before the 2026 HyperX refresh.
The earlier generation already offered RTX 5080 graphics with processors such as:
- Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375
Those machines remain powerful. They simply are not the newest MAX generation anymore.
Previous-generation RTX 5080 pricing can be attractive
A previous OMEN MAX 16 configuration with:
- Ryzen AI 9 HX 375
- RTX 5080 16GB
- 32GB RAM
- 1TB SSD
has recently been listed by Micro Center around $2,276.99–$2,499.99 depending on store/current promotion, against a $2,529.99 listed original price.
Best Buy also offered an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX / RTX 5080 / 32GB / 2TB OMEN MAX 16 for $2,949.99 during July 2026.
Amazon remains relevant too. As recently as September 19, a Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 / RTX 5080 / 32GB / 2TB OMEN MAX 16 was being promoted at $400 below its usual Amazon price.
Because these exact configurations vary, CRAOB should not create one universal “RTX 5080 OMEN price.”
Always publish the CPU, RAM, SSD and display beside the deal.

New HyperX OMEN MAX 16 RTX 5080: newer CPU, same GPU name
This is where buyers can get caught.
The newest 2026 AMD HyperX OMEN MAX 16 can also use an RTX 5080 16GB, but HP now pairs it with newer processors reaching the Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 generation.
The Intel MAX can also use RTX 5080 while moving up to the newer Core Ultra 200HX-plus generation.
So two Amazon listings can both say:
OMEN MAX 16 RTX 5080
yet one may be a previous-generation 2025 platform and the other the refreshed 2026 HyperX version.
That is why CPU identification is mandatory.
For Cyber Monday, CRAOB should write the full configuration rather than simply:
“OMEN MAX 16 — $500 off.”

RTX 5090: only buy this tier because you actually need it
The top Intel HyperX OMEN MAX 16 can be configured with an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB GDDR7 memory.
HP’s flagship 2026 specification can also include:
- Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus
- up to 64GB RAM
- up to 2TB Gen5 SSD
- 2.5K OLED
- 240Hz refresh rate
- OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro.
At CES 2026, HP said the MAX platform could reach 300W Total Platform Power under its specified design configuration, up from the prior generation, and highlighted its three-fan Tempest Cooling Pro architecture.
This is workstation-class money.
An RTX 5090 MAX is most defensible for buyers using the GPU for things such as:
- maximum-settings gaming
- GPU rendering
- large creative projects
- 3D workloads
- supported local AI workloads
- professional CUDA-accelerated applications
It makes far less sense if you mainly play esports titles at moderate settings.

Don’t overlook the display when comparing OMEN deals
Gaming-laptop deals frequently focus on CPU and GPU while hiding the weakest component in smaller text.
The screen can materially change the value.
Current OMEN models span configurations such as:
- 1920 × 1200 IPS
- 2.5K IPS
- 2.5K OLED
- 3K OLED
- 120Hz
- 165Hz
- 240Hz
For example, the 2026 HyperX OMEN 15 can reach a 3K OLED 120Hz display with a 0.2ms response-time specification, while OMEN MAX configurations can reach 2.5K OLED at 240Hz.
Those are not equivalent products.
A $1,500 laptop with a high-quality OLED panel may represent better overall value for one buyer than a $1,400 configuration with a basic IPS display.
Likewise, a competitive gamer may prefer 240Hz IPS over higher-resolution OLED depending on the exact panel and workload.
16GB or 32GB RAM?
For an RTX 5060 laptop, 16GB remains a reasonable starting point if the RAM can be upgraded.
Once you move into RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 money, 32GB becomes much easier to justify.
The same applies to storage.
Modern game installs can consume enormous amounts of space, so:
512GB — workable, but restrictive
1TB — reasonable gaming baseline
2TB — particularly useful on premium MAX configurations
Be cautious with Amazon third-party listings advertising huge RAM or SSD upgrades.
Some marketplace sellers modify standard laptops themselves. That can make it harder to compare pricing and may complicate warranty expectations.
Prefer recognizable U.S. retail SKUs for CRAOB’s headline deals.
The $3,049.99 VALORANT edition is a fan purchase, not a default OMEN recommendation
HP launched a special HyperX OMEN 16 VALORANT Limited Edition in May 2026.
It includes custom VALORANT styling, keyboard details and themed design elements while offering hardware reaching:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D
- RTX 5070
- 2.5K 240Hz display
- HyperAction high-polling-rate keyboard
HP announced a $3,049.99 pre-order price.
The special edition can make sense for a dedicated VALORANT fan.
It should not, however, be compared with a normal RTX 5070 OMEN purely as a price/performance purchase.
A standard OMEN 15 or 16 may offer substantially lower pricing for similar gaming performance.

OMEN Transcend 14: only compelling when clearance pricing is aggressive
The OMEN Transcend family was designed for people who wanted something thinner and more creator-friendly than a traditional heavy gaming machine.
But the current U.S. HP gaming lineup is now centered more heavily on the new HyperX OMEN and HyperX OMEN MAX systems.
Remaining 2025 OMEN Transcend 14 stock should therefore be approached primarily as previous-generation inventory.
Recent Best Buy listings have shown a Transcend 14 with:
- Core Ultra 7
- RTX 5060
- 16GB RAM
- 1TB SSD
- 14-inch 3K OLED
around $1,599.99, versus a displayed prior/comparable value of $2,499.99.
That is exactly when an older model becomes interesting: the price creates a meaningful reason to accept the previous generation.
HP OMEN Transcend 14 Gaming Laptop — Check Price on Amazon
OMEN 16 Slim is now a clearance/value calculation
The OMEN 16 Slim also remains visible through retailer inventory.
Typical configurations use hardware such as the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H with RTX 5060 or RTX 5070.
HP’s earlier Slim platform capped GPU power below the heavy MAX machines, with the RTX 5070 specification reaching up to a stated 60W GPU power level in HP’s product materials.
That matters.
An RTX 5070 Laptop GPU inside a thin gaming machine may not perform like a higher-powered RTX 5070 implementation in a larger chassis.
So do not compare laptop GPUs from the model number alone.
Recent U.S. marketplace listings have shown OMEN 16 Slim RTX 5060 configurations carrying discounts around 24%, but these often include third-party bundles.
That makes seller verification particularly important.
HP OMEN 16 Slim Gaming Laptop — Check Price on Amazon
What about OMEN 17?
HP still references the OMEN 17 within its broader gaming-family navigation, but current U.S. ready-to-ship inventory is much more heavily concentrated on 15- and 16-inch HyperX OMEN systems.
That means a random Amazon OMEN 17 listing needs extra scrutiny.
Check:
- model year
- CPU generation
- GPU
- seller
- display
- whether it is new or renewed
Do not assume a 17-inch OMEN is part of HP’s newest 2026 generation simply because the listing is still active.
The OMEN deals you should compare against in November
Cyber Monday 2026 has not happened yet, so there is no legitimate future deal price.
But these real 2026 prices provide useful context:
| Configuration | Verified/reference 2026 price |
|---|---|
| HyperX OMEN 16, Core Ultra 7 356H / RTX 5060 / 16GB / 512GB | $1,454.99 Best Buy September benchmark |
| OMEN 16, Core Ultra 9 285H / RTX 5070 | $1,798.99 Amazon May benchmark |
| OMEN 16, Ryzen 9 8940HX / RTX 5070 | $1,899 Amazon June benchmark |
| Previous OMEN MAX 16, Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 / RTX 5080 / 32GB / 1TB | roughly $2,277–$2,500 major-retailer range in recent listings |
| Previous OMEN MAX 16, Core Ultra 9 / RTX 5080 / 32GB / 2TB | $2,949.99 Best Buy July benchmark |
| OMEN Transcend 14, Core Ultra 7 / RTX 5060 / 16GB / 1TB | $1,599.99 recent Best Buy benchmark |
| HyperX OMEN 16 VALORANT Limited Edition | $3,049.99 launch/pre-order price |
These figures do not predict what Amazon will charge on Cyber Monday.
They tell us whether November’s sale is actually unusual.
Never compare gaming laptops by discount percentage alone
Suppose Amazon shows:
OMEN MAX 16 — $2,799, was $3,999
That sounds spectacular.
But before publishing it, CRAOB needs to identify:
Generation: 2025 OMEN MAX or 2026 HyperX OMEN MAX?
CPU: Ultra 9 275HX, 290HX Plus, Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 or HX 475?
GPU: RTX 5070, 5070 Ti, 5080 or 5090?
GPU VRAM: 8GB, 12GB, 16GB or 24GB?
RAM: 16GB, 32GB or 64GB?
SSD: 512GB, 1TB or 2TB?
Display: IPS or OLED? 165Hz or 240Hz?
Seller: Amazon, HP or marketplace reseller?
Condition: New or renewed?
Only after that does the price become useful.
Which HP OMEN should you watch first on Cyber Monday?
For mainstream gaming, start with a HyperX OMEN 15 or OMEN 16 with RTX 5060.
For higher-resolution gaming without MAX pricing, watch RTX 5070 OMEN 15/16 configurations, but compare both VRAM and GPU power limits.
For an RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080 or RTX 5090, HyperX OMEN MAX 16 is HP’s true performance tier.
But the most interesting value deals may come from the outgoing generation.
A previous-generation OMEN MAX 16 with RTX 5080, an older OMEN 16 with RTX 5070, or a heavily discounted OMEN Transcend 14 can make excellent sense when the price gap is large enough.
That is how CRAOB should judge HP OMEN Cyber Monday 2026 deals:
GPU first. Generation second. Full configuration third. Discount percentage last.
