Samsung’s Galaxy Watch lineup looks very different heading into Cyber Monday 2026 than it did during Amazon Prime Day.
The Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 only reached U.S. stores in August 2026, after Samsung unveiled them in July. That makes them the models to watch if you want Samsung’s newest processor, health features and battery improvements. The older Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) are now previous-generation products, but some can become much more interesting when retailers clear inventory.
The important thing is not to treat every crossed-out price as a Cyber Monday bargain. Several older Galaxy Watches were already heavily discounted earlier in 2026, giving us real benchmarks against which future Cyber Monday prices can be compared.
Cyber Monday 2026 pricing itself is still unknown.
The Galaxy Watch lineup to follow for Cyber Monday 2026
| Model | 2026 status | Useful September 2026 reference | What matters most |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Watch9 40mm | Current generation | $379.99 Samsung Bluetooth | Smaller everyday Watch9 |
| Galaxy Watch9 44mm | Current generation | $409.99 Samsung Bluetooth | Larger display and battery |
| Galaxy Watch Ultra2 | Current generation | $699.99 MSRP; recent Samsung Silver offer $629.99 | Outdoor use, battery, durability |
| Galaxy Watch8 | Previous generation | Around $259.99–$289.99 on recent configurations | Value if discounted enough |
| Galaxy Watch8 Classic | Previous generation | $499.99 MSRP; much lower 2026 retailer sales exist | Rotating bezel |
| Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) | Previous generation | $649.99 Samsung listing | Only compelling with a major clearance discount |
Samsung currently positions Watch9 and Ultra2 as its new 2026 watch generation. Watch9 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while Ultra2 is a 47mm LTE model. Samsung’s own comparison also continues to list Watch8 and Watch8 Classic alongside the new hardware, so these older models have not simply disappeared from U.S. retail.
Galaxy Watch9 44mm: the everyday model that makes the most sense for larger wrists
The Galaxy Watch9 44mm is probably the most straightforward place to start if you want Samsung’s newest mainstream smartwatch without moving into Ultra2 pricing.
Samsung lists the Bluetooth version at $409.99, while LTE is $459.99. The 44mm model carries a 445mAh battery and a 1.47-inch AMOLED display. Samsung rates the display for brightness up to 3,000 nits and uses sapphire crystal over it.
It also introduces Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite platform to the mainstream Galaxy Watch family. The Watch9 runs Wear OS 7 with Samsung’s One UI 9 Watch, includes 2GB of memory and 32GB of storage, and supports dual-frequency GPS.
For shoppers deciding between 40mm and 44mm, the price difference is only $30 at Samsung’s standard Bluetooth pricing. The larger version therefore is not simply a cosmetic upsell: you are also getting the larger screen and 445mAh battery instead of the 390mAh unit in the 40mm model.

What Cyber Monday shoppers should know about Watch9 pricing
There is no legitimate Prime Day 2026 price benchmark for the Galaxy Watch9.
Amazon’s U.S. Prime Day ran from June 23 through June 26, while Samsung did not begin general U.S. availability for Watch9 until August 7. Any claim describing a June 2026 Watch9 price as a Prime Day deal would therefore be wrong.
Samsung has instead been using incentives such as instant Samsung credit with Watch9 purchases. For example, recent U.S. product pages showed a $50 Samsung credit while leaving the 44mm Bluetooth watch itself at $409.99. A store credit should not be confused with a direct reduction in the watch’s purchase price.
That makes Watch9 one of the products where Cyber Monday 2026 could give us its first meaningful holiday price history—but until those offers actually appear, there is no factual Cyber Monday price to quote.
Galaxy Watch9 40mm: choose this one because of fit, not because it is dramatically cheaper
The 40mm Watch9 starts at $379.99 for Bluetooth and $429.99 for LTE through Samsung. It is available in Cream and Graphite.
Its biggest practical difference is physical size.
Samsung lists the 40mm at 31.5 grams with a 1.34-inch display, compared with 34 grams and 1.47 inches for the 44mm. The battery is 390mAh rather than 445mAh.
Samsung says that 390mAh capacity is 20% larger than the comparable Watch8 40mm battery. That is a meaningful generational improvement for people who want the smaller case but still intend to wear the watch through daytime activity and overnight health tracking.

If both Watch9 sizes fit comfortably, do not choose the 40mm merely because it saves $30. The smaller watch is most useful for people who genuinely prefer the smaller case.
Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is a different kind of purchase
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is not just a premium Watch9 with another case.
Samsung equips it with an 800mAh battery, 1.52-inch AMOLED display capable of reaching 5,000 nits, 64GB storage, titanium construction and stronger outdoor protection. Its ratings include 10ATM and IP69K, and Samsung also obtained EN13319 certification for diving-oriented use.
Samsung states up to 60 hours of use with the always-on display enabled and introduced fast charging that can reach roughly 40% in around 30 minutes under its specified conditions.
It also adds tools focused more directly on trail running, cycling and recreational diving. Some of those features depend on compatible apps, accessories or an Android phone, so buyers should not pay the Ultra premium purely because it has a longer feature list.
The physical tradeoff matters as well. Ultra2 weighs about 61.5 grams, versus roughly 31.5–34 grams for Watch9.

Ultra2 already has a September 2026 price benchmark
Samsung’s standard U.S. price is $699.99.
However, Samsung has already shown that price can move. A recent Titanium Silver configuration was listed at $629.99, down $70 from $699.99, while other configurations remained at the regular price.
That $629.99 figure is a Samsung direct-store benchmark, not an Amazon historical price.
As with Watch9, Ultra2 launched after U.S. Prime Day 2026, so it has no valid June Prime Day benchmark.
If a future Cyber Monday listing merely uses $699.99 as the reference price without beating earlier direct-store promotions, the crossed-out MSRP alone will not tell you whether it is the strongest deal the watch has seen.
The previous-generation watches are where price history becomes more important
The Watch8 generation was already on sale during Prime Day 2026, which means shoppers have much more evidence to work with.
This is where Cyber Monday marketing can become misleading: a Watch8 discounted below its launch MSRP may still be more expensive than a sale Samsung or Amazon already ran earlier in the year.
Galaxy Watch8: previous generation, but still a legitimate value option
Samsung launched Galaxy Watch8 in July 2025 starting at $349.99 for Bluetooth and $399.99 for LTE.
By 2026, pricing had moved considerably lower.
During Amazon Prime Day coverage, WIRED recorded:
- Galaxy Watch8 40mm: $260 at Amazon
- Galaxy Watch8 44mm: $290 at Amazon
- a separate $220 Samsung direct price for the 40mm model
Those are different retailer benchmarks and should remain labeled that way.
By September, Best Buy also showed the 40mm Bluetooth Graphite model at $259.99, while Samsung recently showed a 44mm Bluetooth configuration at $289.99.
So a $259.99 Watch8 40mm in November would not automatically be a breakthrough Cyber Monday deal. Amazon had already been around $260 during Prime Day, and Samsung itself had reached $220 during the earlier sale period.

Watch9 or discounted Watch8?
This is one of the most important decisions in the 2026 Galaxy Watch sale.
Watch9 brings the newer Snapdragon Wear Elite processor and a materially larger battery on the 40mm version. Watch8, however, already provides dual-frequency GPS, sapphire glass, Samsung health tracking and up to 30 hours of Samsung-rated use with the always-on display.
At prices close to one another, the new Watch9 is easier to justify.
When Watch8 is deeply discounted, however, the previous generation becomes much more interesting for someone who mainly wants notifications, Samsung Health, sleep tracking, workouts and standard Wear OS apps without paying for the latest processor.
Galaxy Watch8 Classic is the odd one out—and that can make it useful
Samsung did not introduce a Watch9 Classic as part of its July 2026 Watch9/Ultra2 launch.
That gives the previous-generation Galaxy Watch8 Classic an unusual position in the range: it remains the recent Samsung option for buyers who specifically want the physical rotating bezel. Samsung launched it at $499.99 Bluetooth and $549.99 LTE.
It is a 46mm stainless-steel watch with 64GB of storage and a 445mAh battery. Samsung’s current comparison data puts it at around 63.5 grams, so it is considerably heavier than the aluminum Watch9.

Do not judge Watch8 Classic against $499.99 alone
Its 2026 price history is especially important.
WIRED recorded an Amazon Prime Day price of $419 for the 46mm Watch8 Classic.
But Amazon was not the strongest benchmark we found.
During Best Buy’s September Labor Day sale, the new 46mm Bluetooth Watch8 Classic in White was listed at $299.99. That was a Best Buy price—not Amazon—and it was substantially below the $499.99 original price.
That changes how a future Cyber Monday offer should be evaluated.
For example, a November listing at $399.99 could look impressive beside a $499.99 MSRP, yet it would still sit about $100 above Best Buy’s verified $299.99 Labor Day 2026 price.
This is exactly why MSRP comparisons alone are not enough.
Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025): clearance price matters more than the word “Ultra”
The Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) remains available, but Ultra2 is now its successor.
Samsung still lists the older model at $649.99 in some current U.S. configurations, while Best Buy recently advertised Titanium Blue at $549.99.
Neither price is particularly compelling when compared with its own 2026 history.
During Prime Day, NBC Select recorded the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) at $434.99 on Amazon, while Best Buy and Samsung were both around $449.99 during the same sale period. NBC identified the $434.99 Amazon offer as its lowest price at that time.

The old Ultra therefore needs real clearance pricing to make sense beside Ultra2.
Paying $649.99 for the previous generation is particularly difficult to justify when Ultra2 starts at $699.99 and brings an 800mAh battery instead of 590mAh, a 5,000-nit display instead of 3,000 nits, newer processing hardware, fast charging and stronger IP69K protection.
2026 Galaxy Watch price history that actually matters
Here is the price history worth remembering when Cyber Monday listings appear.
Galaxy Watch9
Samsung September reference pricing:
- 40mm Bluetooth: $379.99
- 44mm Bluetooth: $409.99
- 40mm LTE: $429.99
- 44mm LTE: $459.99
There is no Prime Day 2026 benchmark because the product had not launched yet.
Galaxy Watch Ultra2
- Standard Samsung price: $699.99
- Recent Samsung Titanium Silver promotion: $629.99
- No June Prime Day 2026 benchmark because Ultra2 had not launched.
Galaxy Watch8
Verified 2026 examples:
- Amazon Prime Day, 40mm: $260
- Amazon Prime Day, 44mm: $290
- Samsung direct during Prime Day coverage, 40mm: $220
- Best Buy September 40mm Bluetooth example: $259.99
Galaxy Watch8 Classic
Verified 2026 examples:
- Amazon Prime Day: $419
- Best Buy Labor Day, 46mm Bluetooth White: $299.99
Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025)
Verified Prime Day 2026 examples:
- Amazon: $434.99
- Best Buy: $449.99
- Samsung: $449.99
Those retailer labels matter. A Best Buy low should not be presented as an Amazon low, and a Samsung direct promotion should not be rewritten as an Amazon sale.
Bluetooth or LTE?
Galaxy Watch9 is sold in both Bluetooth and LTE configurations.
The LTE premium is currently about $50 at Samsung: the 40mm moves from $379.99 to $429.99, while 44mm moves from $409.99 to $459.99.
Bluetooth is sufficient if your phone normally travels with you.
LTE becomes more useful if you want calls, messages, streaming and connected functions while leaving your phone behind. A separate qualifying wireless plan may be required, and carrier support can differ.
Ultra2 is already an LTE-class watch, so there is no cheaper Bluetooth-only Ultra2 tier to choose instead.
Check your phone before buying
The newest Galaxy Watches are Android products.
Samsung lists Galaxy Watch9 and Ultra2 as requiring Android 13 or later with at least 1.5GB of memory. Watch8-series models require Android 12 or newer. The modern Wear OS Galaxy Watches are not supported on iPhone.
Samsung watches can also work with compatible non-Samsung Android phones, but Samsung warns that some manufacturer-specific features may have limited support outside the Galaxy ecosystem.
That matters more than a sale price. A discounted Galaxy Watch is not a bargain if the phone you plan to use cannot support the features you want.
Be careful with marketplace Galaxy Watch listings
Cyber Monday search results often mix together:
- U.S. retail models
- international versions
- open-box inventory
- refurbished or renewed watches
- third-party bundles
- watches paired with generic bands or chargers
- cellular models with carrier-specific conditions
Do not compare a renewed Galaxy Watch against a brand-new Samsung or Amazon price as though they are equivalent.
The same applies to open-box pricing.
Best Buy, for example, already lists separate open-box Watch8 Classic inventory. Those prices can be useful for buyers comfortable with returned merchandise, but they should not be called the historical low for a brand-new Watch8 Classic.
Which Galaxy Watch should you follow this Cyber Monday?
Choose Galaxy Watch9 44mm if…
You want Samsung’s newest mainstream watch, the larger 1.47-inch display and 445mAh battery, and the 44mm case fits comfortably.
Choose Galaxy Watch9 40mm if…
You specifically prefer a smaller, lighter watch. Its 390mAh battery is significantly larger than the previous 40mm Watch8 battery, which makes the small model more appealing this generation.
Choose Galaxy Watch Ultra2 if…
Battery capacity, outdoor visibility, trail use, tougher water resistance or recreational-diving features genuinely matter to you.
Do not pay the premium only because “Ultra” sounds more advanced.
Choose Galaxy Watch8 if…
Its clearance price creates a substantial enough gap from Watch9. A modest discount alone is less convincing because Watch8 already reached much lower prices during 2026.
Choose Galaxy Watch8 Classic if…
The rotating bezel is specifically part of what you want.
It remains distinctive because Samsung’s 2026 Watch9 launch did not include a new Classic model. Just remember that Best Buy already reached $299.99 during Labor Day 2026, so the $499.99 MSRP is not the right benchmark for evaluating a future sale.
Choose Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) if…
Clearance pricing becomes the reason to buy it.
At prices close to the newer Ultra2, the successor’s larger battery, brighter screen, newer processor and durability improvements make the old Ultra difficult to justify.
A note about Amazon pricing
Amazon remains a sensible place to check Galaxy Watch pricing, particularly because Samsung watches were included in Prime Day 2026 promotions.
However, exact September 2026 Amazon prices for every Watch9 and Ultra2 size/color configuration were not consistently exposed through reliable indexed U.S. pricing results during this research. For that reason, current Amazon prices are not being invented or copied from marketplace snippets.
The product links above use resilient Amazon U.S. searches so you can check the current configuration and seller directly.
For historical Amazon pricing, this guide only uses prices that could be tied to reliable 2026 reporting, such as the Prime Day Watch8, Watch8 Classic and Watch Ultra offers.
Cyber Monday 2026 Galaxy Watch FAQ
Has Samsung announced its Cyber Monday 2026 Galaxy Watch prices?
No. Cyber Monday 2026 has not happened yet, and future Watch9, Ultra2 or Watch8 prices should not be presented as confirmed discounts.
Did Galaxy Watch9 go on sale during Prime Day 2026?
No. U.S. Prime Day ran June 23–26, while Watch9 became generally available August 7.
Is Galaxy Watch8 still worth buying after Watch9 launched?
Potentially, but price is the deciding factor. Watch9 has the newer Snapdragon processor and improved battery capacity, while Watch8 has already experienced aggressive 2026 discounting.
Is Galaxy Watch8 Classic discontinued?
It is previous generation after the Watch9 launch, but Samsung and retailers have continued listing it in September 2026. Samsung’s current comparison material still includes Watch8 Classic alongside Watch9 and Ultra2.
Is there a Galaxy Watch9 Classic?
Samsung’s 2026 launch lineup consists of Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2; Samsung did not announce a Watch9 Classic with them.
Is the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 worth more than Watch9?
Only for buyers who will use what the extra money buys. Ultra2 offers an 800mAh battery, up to 5,000-nit display, 64GB storage and substantially more rugged construction, but it is also much larger and heavier. Watch9 is the more conventional daily smartwatch.
Should I trust the crossed-out MSRP on a Cyber Monday listing?
Not by itself.
The Watch8 Classic demonstrates why. Its launch price was $499.99, yet Best Buy sold a new Bluetooth version for $299.99 during Labor Day 2026. A later Cyber Monday price should therefore be compared against actual 2026 selling prices, not merely the original MSRP.
Final buying guidance
For Cyber Monday 2026, Samsung’s smartwatch lineup effectively splits into two groups.
Watch9 and Ultra2 are the new-generation products. They launched after Prime Day, so their Black Friday/Cyber Monday season will provide their first major holiday pricing evidence.
Watch8, Watch8 Classic and Watch Ultra (2025) already have meaningful 2026 sale history. Those watches should only be called strong Cyber Monday deals when their prices make sense against earlier real discounts—not against inflated marketplace listings or an old MSRP.
The clearest examples are the Watch8 Classic’s $299.99 Best Buy Labor Day price and the Watch Ultra (2025)’s $434.99 Amazon Prime Day price. Those are far more useful benchmarks than their original $499.99 and $649.99 prices.
For buyers who simply want the newest everyday Galaxy Watch, start with Watch9 and choose 40mm or 44mm based primarily on wrist fit. For more demanding outdoor use and much larger battery capacity, Ultra2 is Samsung’s current premium option. Older models make sense when clearance pricing—not the size of the crossed-out MSRP—creates the value.
