Meta Quest Cyber Monday 2026 Deals: Quest 3 & Quest 3S

Meta Quest shopping is unusually simple in 2026—but the prices are not.

As of September 2026, Meta’s current U.S. consumer headset lineup effectively comes down to three configurations:

  • Meta Quest 3S 128GB
  • Meta Quest 3S 256GB
  • Meta Quest 3 512GB

There is no current Quest 4 on sale, the 128GB Quest 3 has been discontinued, Quest 2 is no longer available from Meta, and Quest Pro was discontinued previously. Meta’s current comparison material lists Quest 3 and Quest 3S as its active headset families.

There is another wrinkle Cyber Monday buyers need to know: Meta increased U.S. Quest prices on April 19, 2026 because of higher component costs. Quest 3S 128GB rose from $299.99 to $349.99, Quest 3S 256GB from $399.99 to $449.99, and Quest 3 512GB from $499.99 to $599.99.

So a Cyber Monday discount that merely takes a headset back to its early-2026 price is not automatically extraordinary.

Cyber Monday 2026 has not happened yet. The prices below are verified current or historical U.S. benchmarks—not predictions.

The current Quest lineup at a glance

HeadsetCurrent U.S. priceStorageOpticsWhy you would choose it

Quest 3S$449.99256GBFresnelMore storage without moving to Quest 3
Quest 3$599.99512GBPancakeSharper optics, larger storage, better viewing experience

Meta currently lists those same $349.99, $449.99 and $599.99 starting prices.

The biggest mistake would be assuming Quest 3 is substantially faster simply because it costs more.

Quest 3 and Quest 3S both use Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 and 8GB of RAM. The major difference is the optical and display system, not a different class of processor.

Meta Quest 3S 128GB: the model to watch if price matters most

The Quest 3S 128GB is still the logical starting point for someone buying their first current-generation Quest.

It runs the same current Quest 3/3S software ecosystem and uses the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 platform as Quest 3. It also has full-color passthrough and includes the same Touch Plus controllers.

Current Meta price:

$349.99

Meta Quest 3S 128GB — Check Price on Amazon

But $349.99 is not the 2026 price to beat

Before Meta’s April price increase, this headset officially cost $299.99.

Even more importantly, Amazon sold the Quest 3S 128GB for $249 in March 2026, including Batman: Arkham Shadow and the accompanying Meta subscription offer available at that time.

Then came Prime Day.

Amazon reduced the newly increased $349.99 price to $296.79 during Prime Day 2026. Best Buy and Walmart were around $297 during the same period.

That gives us three meaningful reference points:

Quest 3S 128GB priceMeaning
$349.99Current official price
$296.79Amazon Prime Day 2026
$249Amazon March 2026 sale before the price hike

So if Cyber Monday brings the 128GB Quest 3S down to $299, that would reverse most of the April increase—but it would still sit about $50 above its March Amazon price.

That distinction matters.

Is 128GB enough?

For casual buyers, often yes.

If you expect to install a handful of games at a time, use fitness apps, stream PC VR content or uninstall titles you are finished with, 128GB keeps the initial cost lower.

But storage cannot be expanded with a microSD card.

If the headset will be shared among multiple people or you expect to keep many large games installed simultaneously, 256GB becomes easier to justify.

Remember that usable storage is also less than the headline capacity because the operating system and updates consume space. Meta explicitly notes this on its store.

Quest 3S 256GB has the hardest value calculation

The Quest 3S 256GB currently costs $449.99.

Meta Quest 3S 256GB — Check Price on Amazon

That gives you twice the storage of the 128GB model, but otherwise you are buying the same headset architecture.

The problem is the gap to Quest 3.

At current pricing:

Quest 3S 256GB: $449.99

Quest 3 512GB: $599.99

That is only $150 more to move from the 256GB 3S to the 512GB Quest 3.

And that extra money buys much more than storage.

Prime Day 2026 reached $382.49

Amazon discounted the 256GB Quest 3S from $449.99 to $382.49 during Prime Day 2026.

That is the useful Cyber Monday benchmark.

A sale to $399 would be below today’s $449.99 price, but Prime Day has already taken the headset lower.

At around $382, the 256GB model becomes easier to justify.

At full $449.99 pricing, compare the 512GB Quest 3 carefully before buying.

Quest 3 512GB: you’re paying for the view, not just the storage

The Meta Quest 3 512GB remains the premium current Quest.

Current U.S. price:

$599.99

Best Buy and Meta currently show it at that level.

Meta Quest 3 512GB — Check Price on Amazon

The Quest 3 uses the same XR2 Gen 2 processor and 8GB RAM foundation as Quest 3S, so you should not think of it as paying $250 extra for dramatically faster game performance.

You are primarily paying for:

  • 512GB storage
  • pancake lenses
  • higher display resolution
  • wider field of view
  • continuous IPD adjustment
  • integrated depth sensor
  • 3.5mm audio jack
  • thinner optical design

Meta’s September 2026 device specifications show Quest 3 at 2064 × 2208 pixels per eye and 25 PPD, versus 1832 × 1920 and 20 PPD for Quest 3S. Quest 3’s field of view is listed at 110° horizontal × 96° vertical versus 96° × 90° on Quest 3S.

That optical difference is noticeable far more often than a specification such as storage capacity.

Pancake lenses are the strongest reason to choose Quest 3

Quest 3S inherited the older Fresnel-style optical stack associated with Quest 2, while Quest 3 uses pancake lenses. Meta itself identifies the optical system as one of the main differences between the two current headsets.

Pancake lenses generally make it easier to maintain a clear image across more of your view instead of requiring your eyes to remain perfectly centered in a smaller sweet spot.

That can matter for:

  • reading interface text
  • using virtual desktop screens
  • simulators
  • mixed-reality applications
  • watching video
  • longer VR sessions
  • people sensitive to lens positioning

If VR will be something you use frequently rather than occasionally, the Quest 3 upgrade can make more sense than its identical processor might suggest.

Quest 3S actually has the higher official battery estimate

Higher price does not win every specification.

Meta’s current developer specifications estimate approximately:

Quest 3: ~2 hours

Quest 3S: ~2.5 hours

under its reference usage assumptions.

Real battery life varies considerably based on the game, mixed-reality usage, wireless streaming, brightness and background activity.

Those numbers should not be treated as guaranteed session lengths.

For frequent users, a battery-equipped head strap can make a bigger practical difference than small differences between Meta’s quoted runtime figures.

The April 2026 price increase completely changed deal math

Before April 19, Meta’s U.S. prices were:

HeadsetEarly-2026 official priceCurrent priceIncrease
Quest 3S 128GB$299.99$349.99+$50
Quest 3S 256GB$399.99$449.99+$50
Quest 3 512GB$499.99$599.99+$100

Meta attributed the increase to rising costs for components, particularly memory.

This matters because retailers can now advertise discounts from substantially higher reference prices.

For example:

A Quest 3 at $499.99 on Cyber Monday would be $100 below its current price.

But that was simply the normal official U.S. price before April 19.

It could still be a good deal in today’s market—it just would not represent an unprecedented price.

Prime Day 2026 was much stronger for Quest 3S than for new Quest 3

The cleanest U.S. Prime Day headset discounts we could verify are for Quest 3S:

HeadsetCurrent pricePrime Day 2026 Amazon price
Quest 3S 128GB$349.99$296.79
Quest 3S 256GB$449.99$382.49

There was also a Prime Day offer on a refurbished Quest 3 512GB around $499.99, but refurbished pricing should not be used as if it were the new-unit Amazon price.

Reliable public evidence for an equivalent strong new-condition U.S. Quest 3 512GB Prime Day 2026 discount is less clear.

CRAOB should not invent one.

The Quest 3 was $499 at Amazon immediately before the April price hike

There is still useful 2026 Amazon evidence for Quest 3.

On April 16, immediately before Meta’s announced increase, Amazon was selling the Quest 3 512GB for $499, which was its official price at the time.

That was not a special low—it was the pre-hike MSRP.

But it gives Cyber Monday buyers an important reference.

A $599 listing is today’s official price.

A return to around $499 would effectively undo April’s $100 increase.

A significantly lower new-unit price would be more notable.

Batman: Arkham Shadow still matters in the bundle value

Qualifying Quest 3 and Quest 3S purchases continue to include Batman: Arkham Shadow under Meta’s current offer terms, with the promotion listed as valid through December 31, 2026.

Meta is also currently promoting a three-month trial of Meta Horizon+ with Quest 3 and Quest 3S purchases, subject to eligibility and auto-renewal terms.

That means two Cyber Monday listings at the same price may not necessarily have identical value.

Check whether the retailer listing clearly includes the current Meta activation offers.

And do not pay an inflated third-party marketplace price merely because a seller writes “Batman bundle” in the title when Meta’s qualifying-device promotion already provides the game.

Meta Horizon+ and Horizon Worlds are not the same thing

This deserves clarification because older Quest articles can now be misleading.

Meta Horizon+ remains Meta’s subscription offering with access to a rotating catalog and other benefits.

Horizon Worlds in VR, however, was removed from Quest in 2026.

Meta says Horizon Worlds stopped being available in VR after June 15, 2026 and moved to its mobile-focused direction.

So an old product description telling you to buy a Quest primarily to explore Horizon Worlds in VR is outdated.

Quest remains a platform for VR gaming, fitness, mixed reality, media, PC VR and many other apps—but Horizon Worlds itself should no longer be presented as a current headset feature.

128GB Quest 3 is not a current model

You may still encounter Meta Quest 3 128GB listings on marketplaces.

That SKU was discontinued after Meta shifted the Quest 3 family to the 512GB model.

Do not confuse:

Quest 3 128GB — discontinued older storage SKU

with

Quest 3S 128GB — current entry-level headset

They are very different products.

A Quest 3 128GB could still be worth considering as sealed clearance stock at the right price because it retains Quest 3’s superior pancake optics.

But verify:

  • condition
  • seller
  • warranty
  • storage capacity
  • whether it is genuinely new
  • total price versus a current Quest 3S

At inflated marketplace prices, there is little reason to chase discontinued stock.

Quest 2 should no longer be a Cyber Monday recommendation

Meta’s own Quest 2 product page now states:

“Meta Quest 2 is no longer available.”

Marketplace sellers may still have:

  • used Quest 2 headsets
  • renewed units
  • old sealed inventory
  • third-party bundles

But Quest 2 should not be presented as a normal current-generation Cyber Monday choice in 2026.

Quest 3S replaced its position much more effectively because it brings the newer XR2 Gen 2 platform, 8GB RAM and current Quest 3-class software compatibility.

If a Quest 2 costs anywhere near a discounted Quest 3S, buy the newer hardware instead.

Quest Pro is also a legacy purchase

Meta stopped selling Quest Pro in early 2025.

That means a marketplace listing advertising Quest Pro as a premium alternative to Quest 3 is outdated.

Quest Pro can still have niche uses because of features such as eye and face tracking, but it is no longer Meta’s current premium consumer headset.

It should only be considered by buyers who specifically understand why they need its older specialized hardware.

It does not belong in a general Cyber Monday 2026 recommendation list.

Quest 3S or Quest 3 for PC VR?

Both current headsets support PC VR through Meta Quest Link or wireless Air Link. Meta’s current developer documentation explicitly lists PC VR support for both.

That means you do not need Quest 3 purely because you plan to play PC VR games.

However, Quest 3’s superior optics can still matter considerably when displaying detailed PC-rendered environments, cockpit instruments, text or virtual desktop interfaces.

For PC VR:

Occasional user / budget first: Quest 3S can be enough.

Frequent simulator or enthusiast user: Quest 3’s pancake lenses are easier to justify.

Remember that the headset remains a compressed video-streaming PC VR device rather than a native DisplayPort headset.

128GB or 256GB should depend on how you use VR

Do not choose storage purely because “more is better.”

128GB makes sense when:

  • you’re new to VR
  • you install only a few games at once
  • you use PC VR frequently
  • you’re comfortable uninstalling completed games
  • keeping the purchase price low is the priority

256GB makes sense when:

  • several people share the headset
  • you keep a larger standalone game library installed
  • you use it heavily for downloaded media or apps
  • you dislike storage management

512GB Quest 3 makes sense when:

  • you already want Quest 3’s optics
  • you maintain a large standalone library
  • you want substantial storage headroom

Storage alone is not a strong reason to move from $349.99 to $599.99.

The lenses are.

Comfort costs should be included in your budget

The headset is not necessarily the final purchase.

Meta’s standard Quest 3/3S head straps are functional, but many frequent VR users eventually prefer a more supportive alternative.

Meta currently sells the standard Quest Elite Strap for $69.99. It also lists a Quest 3S Breathable Facial Interface at $39.99.

Meta Quest Elite Strap — Check Price on Amazon

Meta Quest 3S Breathable Facial Interface — Check Price on Amazon

There are also numerous third-party battery straps, facial interfaces and cases.

Do not automatically add them all at checkout.

Use the headset first and identify the actual problem you are trying to solve—comfort, battery runtime, sweat management, glasses clearance or travel protection.

Prescription lenses may be better than wearing glasses inside the headset

Both Quest 3 and Quest 3S support optional prescription-lens solutions. Meta explicitly highlights prescription lens compatibility in its current headset comparison.

For regular glasses wearers, inserts can:

  • reduce pressure against the face
  • reduce the risk of eyeglass lenses contacting headset lenses
  • simplify putting on the headset
  • improve comfort during longer sessions

But prescription lenses are an additional expense and should be included when comparing the complete cost of a Quest setup.

New vs refurbished Quest headsets

Meta also sells refurbished hardware periodically, and its April 2026 price increase applied to refurbished units as well.

Refurbished products can make sense when:

  • the seller is Meta or a major authorized retailer
  • warranty terms are clear
  • controllers and accessories are included
  • the price difference is substantial

But do not compare a refurbished Quest 3 price directly with a brand-new Cyber Monday unit and call one the definitive historical low.

Condition matters.

The same applies to Amazon Marketplace listings.

Be careful with suspicious Quest bundles on Amazon

Quest listings are especially prone to unnecessary bundles.

You may see packages containing:

  • generic carrying cases
  • headphones
  • silicone covers
  • third-party link cables
  • battery straps
  • lens protectors
  • charging docks

A $700 “$850 value” Quest bundle is not automatically preferable to buying the headset alone.

Before ordering, check:

Who sells the headset?
Prefer Amazon or an established authorized retailer when practical.

Is the headset new?
Do not accidentally compare renewed pricing with new inventory.

Is it a U.S. model?
Warranty and regional support matter.

Are the bundled accessories actually useful?
Generic accessories sometimes inflate the supposed MSRP more than the real value.

Does the offer already include Meta’s standard software promotion?
Do not pay a seller extra for something Meta includes with qualifying activation.

The price benchmarks that actually matter for Cyber Monday 2026

These are verified U.S. 2026 prices, not predictions.

ModelCurrent priceUseful 2026 benchmark
Quest 3S 128GB$349.99$249 Amazon, March 2026
Quest 3S 128GB$349.99$296.79 Amazon Prime Day 2026
Quest 3S 256GB$449.99$382.49 Amazon Prime Day 2026
Quest 3 512GB$599.99$499 Amazon immediately before April price increase
Quest 3 512GB refurbishedvaries$499.99 Prime Day-period refurbished offer

The $249 Quest 3S price is particularly important.

A future Cyber Monday 128GB price of $299 would look strong compared with today’s $349.99 MSRP, but Amazon has already sold the headset for $50 less during 2026.

Which Meta Quest should you actually watch?

For a first VR headset: Quest 3S 128GB

This is still the best place to start if keeping the initial cost down matters most.

It runs the same current-generation software platform and uses the same XR2 Gen 2 processor as Quest 3.

Its biggest compromises are the Fresnel lenses, lower display resolution, smaller field of view and limited storage.

The 2026 price to remember is $249 Amazon in March, with $296.79 during Prime Day as the more recent post-price-hike benchmark.

For more storage on a budget: Quest 3S 256GB

The 256GB model is useful when 128GB genuinely feels restrictive.

But at the full $449.99 price, it sits awkwardly close to the substantially better optical experience of Quest 3.

Its verified $382.49 Prime Day price makes the value proposition much stronger.

For frequent VR users: Quest 3 512GB

The Quest 3 is the one to buy when you expect to use VR often enough to appreciate better optics.

Its pancake lenses, 2064 × 2208 per-eye resolution, wider field of view, continuous IPD adjustment and depth sensor create the meaningful upgrade—not a faster processor.

At $599.99, however, the April price increase is difficult to ignore.

Any Cyber Monday discount should be compared first with the headset’s $499 pre-April 2026 U.S. price, while recognizing that this was the former regular price rather than a special sale.

Should you wait for a Quest 4 instead?

There is no current Meta Quest 4 available in the U.S. lineup as of September 2026.

Meta’s current official device comparison continues to list Quest 3 and Quest 3S as its current next-generation headset targets.

Rumors about future hardware should not be treated as a shipping product, official launch date or reason to invent a future discount.

For a Cyber Monday 2026 buying article, the products that actually matter are Quest 3S and Quest 3.

Final buying strategy for Cyber Monday 2026

Meta Quest pricing needs to be judged differently this year because the company raised prices in April.

The Quest 3S 128GB is currently $349.99 but has already sold for $296.79 during Prime Day and $249 earlier in 2026.

The Quest 3S 256GB is currently $449.99 but reached $382.49 during Prime Day.

The Quest 3 512GB now costs $599.99 after spending the first part of 2026 at $499.99.

That gives Cyber Monday shoppers a much better framework than simply looking at the percentage beside a crossed-out price.

If affordability comes first, watch the 128GB Quest 3S.

If you need additional standalone storage but still want to stay below Quest 3 pricing, watch the 256GB Quest 3S—but compare the final price gap carefully.

If you expect to use VR frequently, particularly for reading text, mixed reality, media, simulators or PC VR, the 512GB Quest 3’s pancake optics are the stronger reason to pay more.

And skip Quest 2, Quest Pro and overpriced old 128GB Quest 3 marketplace inventory unless a very specific clearance situation makes sense.

For Cyber Monday 2026, the useful question is not:

How much is Meta claiming I save?

It is:

Does this exact Quest configuration beat the prices U.S. shoppers have already seen during 2026—and is the cheaper headset worth accepting Fresnel lenses every time I put it on?

That distinction matters more than the sale badge.
